Weren't we going to recruit a production director a while ago, I don't think we have?
Why not sack AM and give the one eyed winker's high salary to the the new director?
But have the BOD got the bells to get rid of Art?
Surely there is no need for Art or CoplA now? Another saved salary?
On the left we have "the facts" (assets, GGS, LOI etc), on the right we have the Market (insiders, IIs, MMs, truck drivers, local senator, local barman, PIs). This equation produces a result of 1.5, constantly falling as y/e approaches. If imminent news is in any way reasonable surely SP should be nudging up?
Leew, "Here is my humble opinion on Bopd" Good post.
The market (insiders, IIs, MMs, truck drivers, local senator, local barman) all know production isn't currently rising to 2000. Which is why SP continues to fall and we'll get a "last minute" RNS. Your prediction sounds much more realistic than most on this BB.
Transhaven, your post reads like the most sensible one we've had in a long time.
Here's my email to Cathy, sent on 13th Nov "Hi Cathy, I’m a dogged long term holder in Canadian Overseas Petroleum. There’s currently a lot of talk about a Q&A session after Q3 results but no official confirmation. Are you able to say whether there will be a session or is it just hopeful speculation? If definite when will there be an announcement? Thanking you in advance for any information, many thanks." Zilch reply.
As I said before, this Cathy email stuff is a load of hogwash AND as I said before, if she is doing it she shouldn't be!!! Why spend time replying to individual PIs instead of doing professional stuff, like improving company comms, website etc. A PR company doesn't just send out RNSs, what's her pay and what's she doing for it??
And the mess goes on, la di la di la...No news, rubbish IR dept, no production director, sock sahking CFO on rude salary, AM still directing behind the scenes, any positive SH sentiment based solely on wishful thinking...
What a sad sad reflection on Copl, when followers turn on each other, hurling abuse. And waste of time!

1 If I'm a BH and keep the SP low I convert and get more shares. How do I then make the money, from small margins on low SP?
2 If I let the SP rise, fewer shares but higher price and may keep rising with rising production?
Why are they making more money from 1 than 2, this I don't understand. (But I'm no BH expert).
Stas, Tiburn's point is that subsidiary was used in 2021 but affiliate in 2023, hence why the change?
CoplA maybe in charge of JV negotiations but who owns the asset?
"What is the ownership structure of the affiliate COPL America" this might be a dumb question but don't holdings above 10% in Canada have to be declared and therefore accessible from somewhere (apart from AM or Copl...)?
Tiburn,
I've always wondered the point of having 2 companies, Copl and CopA and now I'm beginning to feel even worse than I have over the last X months. Are you saying:
1 CoplA under AM, control the asset and JV negotiations?
2 The only role of Copl is to funnel funds to CoplA?
3 Why have such a confusing duplication?
4 Where does it leave the PI?
Maybe this is why the SP continues to tank, lost it's assets? Any thoughts would be appreciated
So BHs are keeping SP low so they gets lots of shares as they think it will rise and so make more money? What about "a group" shorting SP to acquire shares for a t/o? I know this has been discussed before but no conclusion given as to whether possible or not. Why not? I can't believe a $bn barrel asset which is producing now and can produce more is still worth 2p a share, makes no logical sense. (I now see conspiracy theories everywhere, even my morning coffee!)
Will someone please explain how BHs benefit more from keeping SP down, as opposed to letting it rise? If it is them doing it, I don't understand their reasoning?
I wish we knew how things worked....
To Trujack-for a lender to be able to convert a debt into shares once the borrower says they will repay the debt, sounds very odd.
To LTHs-I think I'll go to church today, for a good pray.
When does the new production director start and what's his name, so we can check him out? Or has that already been announced?
