Thanks AimMaster2018, if only I'd listened to my gut instinct ages go.
Stas, I think Charles' mobile is 07747 788 221, least the voice on AM (not Kant features AM) says ""Charles" but could just be a message box. But no point in lots of people ringing without a list of questions???
Jiddy, I was wondering that. "Since the parent company has a minority ownership, its liability is limited, and the two companies keep separate management teams". See https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/affiliatedcompanies.asp I'm not sure what the link is between the two companies and there could be side agreements. WHO owns the ASSET? And as there's no JV why not let CoplA go bust, IF it's not terminal for Copl? Except SP says it would be. I'm ill and totally confused.
Quite agree with what you say. Orchestrated from Feb 2023 when Art "moved", Cowan simply moved up and Gupta arrived. All designed for this moment.
Ok thanks Ra11adw2 but still not convinced, we only have trheir word about the funding, and what's their word currently worth?
Is there any way of independently knowing/guesstimating the accuracy of this statement, apart from reference to Copl RNSs, which I no longer fully accept? Is there a forensic accountant/expert investor/Mr Marvel who could give reassurance to offset forthcoming widespread Xmas indigestion. Thanks :-)
Ra11adw2, nice post but how do we know we're fully funded to end of Q1? Apart from Copl telling us! Does anyone still believe in the accuracy of their RNSs? Unless it can be independently verified I no longer believe anything they say. I hope we are fully funded, but until end of Q1 it's squeeky circle time for me
Oi Artemi, what about my question and cup of cocoa? "Artemi5, with all due respect, isn't it the oil and current production levels that the market is interested in? And doubts galore about this is what is driving the SP down? Anything else is for our tomorrows. Ask your friend what he thinks of Copl and why the current SP? Many thanks and a nice cup of cocoa for any good news."
Scenario 4 is the one I've been worrying about. Cowan, now in charge, has been a Copl director since 2015, who really knows about Gupta, Ryan is a cakesucking winker etc etc. The last year seems like part of a plan to go private. As for funding to end of Q1 2024, can this be independently verified, outside our wonderful RNSs? Wish I wasn't a LTH. :-)
Tiburn, your posts sound applicable to a normal company in an academic/textbook sort of way, but we're dealing with Copl/AM and his merry band of insiders. Why does a 1bn oil barrel asset have a SP under 1p after a year of "promises"? What's your street gut telling you, not some academia? Ta, and I wish us all well.
Jeez Whyohwhy1, you're a 1 day old poster, can't even walk and you're flaring like a loony. Breathe in slowly...hold...exhale slowly...repeat...again... and again....sleep well...
Artemi5, with all due respect, isn't it the oil and current production levels that the market is interested in? And doubts galore about this is what is driving the SP down? Anything else is for our tomorrows. Ask your friend what he thinks of Copl and why the current SP? Many thanks and a nice cup of cocoa for any good news.
Intothedeep, why can't BHs play the same game but on a rising SP, less shares but higher price/share? That's the bit I don't get.
Unnd, so BHs also get an additional payment for simply converting the bond to shares, so as to enable them to do their trading, which is what they want to do anyway! Is that correct? Wow, what cakesucking CFO agreed to that?
Maybe Gupta is part of the problem, I never rated his b/g much, see https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/hxNmvx6pa5APXUUN3vyHBdYIjgo/appointments. And living in Hanwell/Ealing, urgh!! Why not join the Copl circus and make hay?
As for Cowan, he's been a Copl director since 2015 so part of the circus? Working with AM to who knows what ends? The BOD is full mof sugar, end of
Thanks Stas, clears that one up.
Ref our Atlas, I think this is their website https://atlascapitalmarkets.com/ and this is what Companies House has to say on them, dissolved 2022 https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09304763.
More confusion and crepe.
Antha, what you say sounds reasonable given history, any estimate on total and amount retirevable? It must still be sizeable otherwise JV would have walked away a lot earlier?? But what do I know?
Good point SeaHawk, so if there were any porkies they weren't serious and large amount of oil exists, that's something! So back to why late production figures, why no news of new production director (surely they could have found someone to start Jan?), in fact why so little comms?
Trujack,
Is that correct, that "Ryder Scott don’t independently certify or verify anything, just analyse info given by company?" So maybe they just looked at info "supplied" by AM! Which is why JV failed, their DD kept coming up against naff RS/AM info! Maybe there's less than 1bn barrels and it's difficult to get out, hence low production figures, no new production director and silence. I am very happy for oil people who know the sector to bash down what've said. Feel free, the more facts the better.
