Yes, do most of the fiddling with the car bar engine rebuilds/clutch, then I get a man in! At least I can strip the pipes etc. and see where the leak in .. seems quite large as I can hear it when I pour water in and with a torch can see it pool and spin on the block - in the most awkward place to reach, hence the stripping bits off to reach it. Likely just a split hose or loose jubilee clip. If worse will need to buy a part or get the car trailered to a dealer!

Talked to O2 this morning, fraud attempt in hand my account will revert to normal within 48 hours, phone delivery stopped. Was going to a known dodgy address in London!!

Back to the car, too much to take off to get to the water hose at the back under the throttle body and intercooler pipes...!!!

Oh yeah, while I am moaning, the phone from the scam was to be delivered to LONDON while I am 250 miles away up in north west between Liverpool and Manchester!
O2 hadn't flagged it!

My ISa is well down on expensive CCL, but fund account made profit on CCL down and up today, nice! same tomorrow?

Came back from shopping since Morrisons ( via Ocado ) didn't deliver 1/4 of the items, and found car steamed up inside and suddenly engine temps high!!! I seem to have a cooling water leak on the car, so I'll probably be armpit deep in the engine bay removing intercooler pipes and throttle body etc. until I can get to where I can see the water pooling / coming from! May be a simple cheap hose cut / loose jubilee clip .. or something more major! We'll see .. problem no dealers within 60 miles and locals can't handle "special" cars!

And around 7pm I got a phone call from O2 asking if I wanted a free upgrade to 5g as I was a valued customer. Told them no 5G here for 2 years and my phone isn't 5g eady! They sent a security code to prove it was O2, came to the same place on my phone ( sim only ) my monthly txts from O2 with my bill info, so all seemed OK. They went.
THEN I got several txts & e-mails telling me I had changed my tariff, joined O2, and my order was on it's way!
SCAM. Seems I nearly was scammed for a new iphone 11 512gb with contract at £46/ month .... £1565 owed!!

Contacted O2, and they agreed to cancel the order within 24 hours.
Still got more e-mails that it as despatched ...

Need to check tomorrow.

T - Re: Satellite / Sky ... is it a old BIG dish, mini (digital) dish or Sky Q dish?
How well is it mounted to the house - screwed to the bricks or on a pole? ( poles move in the wind)

As S says wind can affect it, as does snow on it / the LNB, and heavy rain / thunderstorms, and (not) surprisingly, if there is bad weather down south where Sky beam it TO the satellite, that can cause picture break-up / artifacts and/or loss of picture.

Sky should come check / fix it for free if it's a frequent problem, maybe just a clean / re-alignment or maybe new dish & LNB.

Had sky in various forms since 1989, other half actually agreed with my upgrade when Sky+ came out.. and Q with more recording options!

Hahaha, when I leave the screen I do well! The CCL bought this morning at 1192, sold for 1262 this afternoon, 5% ish gain, double last weeks profits and well covers the loss on getting out of NCYT.

I see the UK BoE has added another £100billion quantative easing today, making near £750 billion this year. Will this help or depress the markets?

T - you recall our chat on my view to hold some recovery shares for a few months in case they revert to Pre covid prices?
You suggested the markets may change unexpectedly and not too good an idea to do that? Your experience seems to have been proved right!
Well, my portfolio seems to have ended up as a longer term recovery one by default as the leisure / pub shares are not moving except down/sideways... I had initially intended trading CINE, Marstons, JDW, but now quite flat pricing, until July I guess if they can open again.

All a learning process, I have only been here 5 months I suppose!

T - No worries.
I have professed an aversion to selling at a loss, and when I have done so in the past and tried to trade back into profit, the price moved the wrong way or I was loathe to buy in as price went up again.

But watching CCL the last week or so, there was a seemingly reproducible trend ( until today! again!!) that with hindsight was easily workable.
So I need to free up cash so I shall try the shake and vac ... to put the freshness back .....

Watching the red sea this morning...

CCL fell a lot after ( their results ? ) so grabbed a few at 1190, although different account to my 1480- ones.... groan. The dear ones I will have to spike and shake I think, didn;t sell twice this week at around 1360 - 1370, could have bought back at 1260, 1220 etc. so would have covered half my loss in a day! Never mind.

CCL had developed a 50-60p daily range, then a big drop every couple of days.
MCRO - 10-20 p range, CINE and MARS 2p range, JDW 20p range. So not a lot of scope to trade these!

O - I had a look at BOTB this morning, they moved ALL operations on line, closed retail ( airports etcv. ) and cut costs. So a double benefit now!!
Doubled profit so far, Massive special dividend ti make 33p/share in total!
We have missed their big jump. Ohh yeah, the spread was 150 p earlier!!

Yes, boring markets again. Topped up CINE and Marstons ( MARS ) as they had dropped more again, to average my expensive buy from last week!

I had heard about BOTB on some LSE board, the gambling - win a car and we'll sell tickets until we make enough to cover the car and make profit - singing it's praises and rapid rises.
The rise this week seems to have been due to a special dividend on 15 June.

Nice range though ..... think i'll leave it.

R - Can I ask, do you both have a share ISA, and are they in HL?
I'm looking to do the same for my wife and it looks like I need to open a whole other HL account to do so, as it defaults to my details when I try to open (and I have got one this year ) and only allows a top up!

A - sounds good - the lung damage is due to inflammation of the tissues as the body attacks itself, so an anti-inflammatory drug should help.

Lots of announcements about openings - CINE open overseas from June, 10 July in UK.
EZJ flying soon - "full" or at least as full as distancing allows...
Rest of shops open in next 10 days ish
USA debt buying bond process
Cases / deaths falling in UK ...
Europe opening up to tourists ( even if not all allowing those from UK, Spain or Italy! ).

If this carries on, no Second Wave, markets could bounce high!

Watching my watchlist be all blue!!!

S - yes, sold my fevr something over 2002, via a limit sell, so missed out on the rise to 2020 -mde a few quid but missed out on more.... although I had set the limit last week on a "get rid without a loss" mood, and if at the screen I could have cancelled the limit and let it run higher. But I was more interested in getting out of the shares that had been red last week and that I don't usually trade!

Lots of big climbers today.

PLUS - it was over 1300 for about 15 minutes, did hit 1307 for a couple of minutes, so yes you may have got a trade .... my limit sell did although I just wanted to get rid at no loss... £6 up... 4 pack of beer that!

Still need to shift FEVR... and hoping the pub/leisure world wakes up on July 4th if that's when they open as well down on Wetherspoons and Cineworld, and Marstons right now!
Won't mention OCDO and CCL as well down on these two ...... Grrrr...

T - yep, now read the Hertz story,. Didn't know what RobinHood traders were, thought they were altruistic and gave away their profits to the poor!
So it's just a free trading platform.
But I understand what they ( and Mad Money ) are saying, these additional ( novice? ) risk welcome (day) traders could have an impact on the market and prices.
But I agree with the Barclays analysis that even with these additional traders / more money in play and buying into a small range of companies, is going to move the price much since II's hold majority of the stock?

DIdn't find the top ten shares Robinhood traders use yet.
