Yeah, dealer is 100 miles away, user forum has some good guys on it, shared diagrams/pictures/part numbers.
But my misdiagnosis got me what I thought was a pipe set for the older car but IS right for the car, just not the part I need - it's NEXT to the pipe I bought. So much for "experts" on forums.!!

My Tuner/garage isn't open yet, he'd have got it right first time! He usually has bits to hand / can get quickly bits needed.

I've too many shares in a couple of companies that have fallen ... so either wait or trade! Looks like a bit of a rise now...

And I'm under the bonnet of the car ... chasing that water leak. I fixed it by pushing rubber hose further on over the hole and clipping it. Was going to try and change the pipe for the new one...
Pipe I was advised fit / the one I needed ISN'T ... so took apart again and found it's a simple metal pipe to heater with a small take off to throttle ... and that's perforated on the metal take off. It's really under the manifold too. so garage job if they can get the right part.
So send back the part, advise garage to get me the right bit!!

Hope the Tesla would be on it's way now.... ;-) but with the market and my expensive share buying habit it may be xmas after all!

The news has been full of "experts" saying record bookings or enquiries/searches for holidays, so demand is there.

Can you tell I am bored with the flat markets in my shares??

If you read the LSE boards for JDW, MARS, CINE etc. it's either de-rampers/panic mongers, or mainly optimists mentioning the pent up demand for a beer or film, even with social distancing as appropriate.
CINE often quote 20% occupancy is moving into profit, expect 25-30% on opening despite having a max capacity of 50% under the new rules. Delaying opening to match new big films makes sense - there mixed feeling about going to the cinema to see an old film from the 80's.

Pubs reckon they need more people in to make money than they will be allowed / able to let in ( unless they have large outdoor spaces ) but most chains will open next week or so.
I have been inundated with e-mails from the various local pubs in the Greene King and Marstons chains inviting me to come in when they open, book now etc. with a list of their safety improvements. ( Always makes me laugh when they say staff will wash hands! ).


Unfortunately an increasing number of companies entering administration and/or announcing redundancies.

In it for the long haul ( Groan! ) so hopefully the markets will start to move / move up in July.

I am sure Boris's speech will be all over the news later! If it can be all put in place then it sounds like a reply to most moans from the public / unions / health / care sectors etc. for the last 30 years!

What did anyone think of Boris' speech?
A lot of intention, detail to follow. Chancellor on next week to outline spending plans ( and borrowing - no imminent tax rises ).

Build Better, Build Greener, Build faster.

Road projects, train stations, house building, plant 30,000 trees a year, build hospitals, refurbish schools, FE colleges, refurbish hospitals.
Lots of support for science, innovation, getting business going. New science support fund.

Lots of talk about cut red tape, why is UK slower and more expensive on projects ... to be remedied!

OK. Another 50p on OCDO make break even ( current los approx £500 on 1000 OCDO ). If I sold now ( price has fallen back ) 1000 would be £20400 which would be around 34000 CINEshares. And each 1 p rise in CINE would make £340.

so 2p would cover my OCDO loss, and another 6p would cover the current loss on the high priced CINE I hold...

T - had to read that twice! Small loss on 1/2 my OCDO now, would buy a lot of cine! I'll have a quick calc and see. DOn't want too many eggs in one basket ( as I had with CCL ! )

M - I think Leicester is a bit of a mess, can't do right or wrong.

A woman - think the local MP?, was having a screaming fit on BBC news over the weekend, demanding government action, lockdown etc. particularly due to the deprivation, poverty and high level of susceptible BAME population at high risk of the new virus spikes.

Govt introduces local lockdown - so Mayor comes on moaning why Leicester, it's not needed, why not pick on other cities!

I think this sort of local action will be repeated elsewhere to allow most of the country to open, unless there is a second country wide wave.

Cineworld have now delayed opening from 10th July to end of July, to better align with big releases, and also the current virus spikes.

Pubs are down too.

Lets see what Boris does, with his spend, levelling up programmes.

T - thanks for that, confirms your view on share movements / timings from the other day.

There was not a lot of range movement after the open spike, maybe 20p, so after costs and stamp duty a 1000 share trade would make maybe £150. I'd need 15 deals like that to make up the loss!!!

Waiting on any announcement on travel / air corridors etc. today or tomorrow, and Boris' stimulus package. Then I'll decide whether to sell and trade or hide in a bunker and sulk!

Same small range / sideways price on Ocado, Marstons, Wetherspoons, and a constant fall on Cine today. Small range on MCRO. Hopefully some of these will rise after 6th July.

S - don't be disappointed in your performance, pro rata it's better than mine most weeks !!
I had a couple of good day in a couple of weeks, although I think we all had quiet last couple of weeks ... and bought in on the fall and are now down ... which shouldn't but does make me less bothered!

Several strategies are available, I am watching these and doing my own thing, which may be trading the spike/shakes, or leaving alone for a week or two and allowing a natural rise!
I have/had unfortunately set sell limits only a few p pover my buy price just to move on the shares, so I do need to watch and cancel the limit sell if it climbs rapidly!

Still, we are all here to help each other and all info is gratefully received!
