R - Nice set up! Big box home build PC, 1 screen, 2 chrome browsers open one with HL watchlist, portfolio summary and a share chart page for each stock I hold or am watching!
2nd browser for similar using LSE charts!

R - no, not in plus now, thought it was a bit slow moving ... butas it's fallen back a bit I'll watch and maybe get in later.

T - yes, doing better than yesterday already!
OCDO - nearly messed that one up - hada limit sell set for 1195 from the other day.. had to quickly cancel it s I watched the price go up the 2190's ... just made it, so a bit quick on the sell button after!
My browser window sometimes "sticks" - I have a few HL windows open - so doesn't move screen to screen - it was doing that then too! Need a quick restart.

Also let OCDO go at 2215

Should have sold CCL and OCDO just before close .... prices dropped !! Let's see which way they go on open!

M - Only trade with what you are comfortable with, or as they say in gambling, what you won't miss if you lose!

If you feel you are doing OK, even if only a few hundred quid a couple of times a week, how does that stack up against the poor interest rates now! My best ISA fell from 1.45% to 0.25%.
I started this partly as I had OCDO shares from float which had already covered their cost and well in profit, and I wanted to at least get more interest on the saved money - savings, ISA's etc. than the paltry interest rate, which is unlilely to rise for years. Also I had some shares I inherited I hadn't looked at which I transfered into HL.

Do what's best for you !

M - As T says, we are all here to help each other if possible! I needed a bit of direction on how to use the S&S ISA ( previously were managed S&S ISA's ) and I can see the obvious tax benefits!
Does seem best option to trade from the S&S ISA and build up the pot while the long term holds stay in the fund and share account. Then move when profit & allowance permits.

Hope you had a good day ... I made nothing today but am now in profit on CCL & OCDO.... will set a low price limit buy on MCRO for the morning and maybe NCYT, possibly Plus if it drops to 1270 ish again!

T - you are quite right, the morning first hour does seem to provide the best falls and rises, which does co-incide with my increased performance and beinmg here around 8:00 !!!

ISA set up, awaiting transfer of other company's ISA ... I have not set upany isa this year so I should be able to add 2020/2021 allowance to it.

I think my change is accepting the price to buy in NOW is higher than last weeks when I sold... and I can ignore that and play the spike/shakes! So waiting on MCRO to stabilise and then get back in!
I am happy to do that once I get a feel for the new likely standard price level, and am happy to wait if the price keeps on falling .... just like today on CCL and flat OCDO!

T - what's that .... bobbing along sideways with minimal price movement? Yeah ..... nofun that!

I do OK 2 - 3 days a week with price movement on a couple of shares ( MCRO, CCL, OCDO, CINE maybe ) and a play on others people here use like plus or AIG, MKS, MRW but smaller price changes and low profits.

I reckon I can hit the 2k / week target ... managed that in a day 3 times in the last 2 weeks !!! Other days, zilch while the portfolio was red... like today and last Friday! ( previously was maybe a few hundred quid a couple of days a week! ).

Overall, going forward!

T - Absolutely! That was my hope/intention, but I wasn't sure on the best way to do it.

I was struggling with the initial values - e.g. 1000 OCDO would be over the 20k on it's own ... of course I cold just buy less until the pot increased!

T - nearly, deciding how best to use if initially the ISA allowance is in ( each ) ISA .... trade within or use to hold longer term recovery shares.
Maybe trade lower proce shares in there???

S - yes, find own pace and style. I messed up a lot and lost a bit trying to keep up with you, T, O etc. in fast trades... I was too slow, wasn't watching the screens enough, no charts, and panicked when a share fell and was too eager on any profit.

Interesting what a month or two of practice, read up, and support from the Brigade has done for me and my trading!

Even gets me up before 10 am now!!! ;-)

S - it was Captain Treacle who used the term "Learning Occurrences" on here ( there are no mistakes just .... ) although it was a mantra in work ... there are NO accidents just learning occurrences....

I dare not say how much I made today - sold CINE, OCDO, CCL, 2 lots of MCRO and a Dart... but cleared out mt stocks apart from some late CCL buys tonight! Must be worth a gull wing door !!

M - well done on the profit. We all buy too high or in a fall, and sell a bit too low - I did today on CINE - Sell, and maybe buy on CCL.

Find your own pace and style and it gets easier, honest!!

S - I had some DART, sold at 899 ish, a whole £59 !!

R - Trade fees, that's good, I dropped to £5.95 for June!

R - Super, thanks. No clear info on trading via the ISA that I could find on HL, so that's a great help.

I have sold most of the portfolio this week so have cash to move, or add another ISA .... I'll khave a think, not really an isue either way!

Waiting on the drop on CCL and OCDO...

T - no, not sorted S&S ISA yet - read the stuff on HL, but can't find how to trade the shares! A few Q's for after close...
Is it just like the fund & share account apart from some are in the ISA? Does it indicate which shares are held where? Or is it 2 portfolio screens?
Can I move shares from the fund & share account to the ISA?
I know I can transfer other ISA into it but that's new money... ( yes I can withdraw some from the fund/share account .. )

Probably more Q's later!
