T - re GGP, changes in CEO, awaiting news, gold price down ( as O said ) don't help. Nice time to top up if I had spare cash but GGP, PLUS, SNG have vast majority it and didn't save enough to trade or top up!
Like S - have to wait on recovery for GGP and Plus!

Well done on all your trades this morning - looks like the MCRO holders have / will do well - the 11p divi will be nice for T's haul of MCRO!

OCDO profits up, SP falls!!

My p/f looks poorly, with GGP down further and Plus back in mid 1350's. Looks like I'll be waiting for divi on Plus after all!

I've had a fun, tiring and odd weekend.

As I may have mentioned, an event I had booked, hotels etc. in Nottingham last year and rescheduled to this month was cancelled ( twice! ) due to this virus thingy.
Well, the organisers held an on-line version of the convention via Zoom this week-end. It was quite fun, albeit no bar and no real gaps between segments ( unlike the real ones! ) so no time for food or toilet stops! Saved me a fortune, £5 all in, instead of about £600 !!! ( tickets, hotel, food, travel, ohh and beer! )

It was a Red Dwarf Convention. Not a science fair but the TV show. Still had many of the cast, crew, creators and writers and others as guests.
I've watched since 1988, and attended their conventions since no.2 in 1992 .... so quite nice!

Anyone else remember / watch / like Red Dwarf?

Interesting S, that MCRO article. MCRO have crept up £1 over the last few weeks, and pundits expect doubling? Maybe when I get rid of these Plus to get back into MCRO ???

I didn't do it but they used to have Concorde events at Aintree Racecourse - get on the plane ( Liverpool /John Lennon airport?? Or Manchester ) fly slowly over land to the racecourse ( too noisy otherwise ) then a blast over the Irish sea for half an hour and back to land.

Concorde seemed antiquated and very narrow I found.
But great technology and engineering.

For a company safety training event I had to prepare a case study of the crash in France that I presented the details as issued in the final report ( I may have it somewhere ) and the staff working in teams had to piece together the root causes.
And they relate them to our chemical company / maintenance / procedures etc.

Afternoon all,
p/f looking a bit poorly today with Plus retreating and GGP down more.
Wet but sunny outside, bit nippy but no snow yet ( that's Sunday/Monday allegedly ).

Probably been on the A380 when I went to Torquay many many years ago.

I've been on Concorde too, just not flying. There is one in the Concorde conference centre by Manchester Airport. They allow access and sit in the seats, and do a guided tour and history of the plance, who sat in which seats - Royalty and famous people etc.
I was at an event there and the afternoon was for the plane visits. The event was UNDER the plane, took me an hour to realise!!

S - I also missed the Plus spike, I was watching it hit 1450, waited a bit for further rise ( I am in a little profit there ) then it fell back into 1430's. Perhaps same tomorrow, could trade the spike ( 1453? ) and buy back on shake ( 1430 ? ).

Well, I sold 1/2 my holding in 7DIG at 1.711p, bought at 1.63p. Massive profit of £71.
Other half are one of my bright idea buys at 3.3, when they were trading 3.5-4.0 before rapid fall!

Anyway, more GGP on the fall in the ISA to trade!

S - Suggestion for your weekly target - make the current target one to meet by Wednesday close of play, and a stretch target of double it by Friday close of play.

Eases any stress if you meet the Wednesday target, and a warm glow and a bottle of Rioja if you beat Fridays!
If you miss Wednesday target you could still meet it by Friday.

Ha! GGP now showing buy at 27.25 BUT CAN'T get a quote!

C - I use HL - if you do 20 trades a month it's £5,95 a trade, else %11.95 and 8.95 if between 10-20 trades a month. No other fees.
If you use a HL ISA then there is a small monthly charge on top of fees.

S uses some one else ( IG ?? ) and it's £3 a trade I think.

Avoid 212 as it seems very slow to fill orders and they have a wider spread ( to make their profit ) so I read.

Have a look at other trade sites and see what suits you best - you CAN transfer your ISA into HL ISA.

Offered 27.33p to buy GGP.

Hoped for 26p ish .... it's dropping the buy price vs screen/spread so do I expect a drop in SP for a while?

Always confused me, if I sell at 28p, buy back later at 28p all I have done is line the wallet of the MM's or HL ?? So want a lower buy back in price, as they should return to 30p in a few days I think.

The only stupid question is one you don't ask.

C - When I first heard of GGP - as it was cheap share and had seen prices rise from sub 1p, I started trading them at 7p, 9p, 11p etc. With the continual rise I started to hold for longer waiting for the mythical 15p, 20p etc. which they reached. So I bought more on the way up. I stopped trading them as FOMO on more rises. Which hit 37p !!
I top sliced some in mid 20's and 29p.

Subsequent price falls I bought more and seeing the pattern of 3p range every few days to trade.
Of course if I had held my 7p ones and still bought more I would be well in profit!!! More than the trade profit.

Last few weeks price has cycled to 36p, down to 29, up to 34, down to 30, up to 33, down to 28, then a big drop on good news ( it is AIM after all ) to 22p.
SO I bought more to trade at 24p and 26p.

As S (and R I think ), hold some and trade others to cover both bases.

The penny price rise works well if you hold a lot of shares, e.g. 50000 shares makes £500 a penny rise.

Perhaps look at noting the price moves over the day(s) and see where you would have sold/bought and how much profit/loss you would have made or missed out if they climbed higher. ( advice pinched from T !! )
