a lot of investors have been complacent ( again me included) in being too ****y and over confident in how superior our product is. it surely is, however if it can't be put into action effectively and quickly ( and it surely hasn't) the simpler option gets a foothold quicker because its easier to set up, the savings are immediate.

The bottom line is they have a LONO from MAN, we are still fumbling around for a Warstsilla LONO, some 2.5 years after our association with MSC. That's the cold hard truth.

Fine and dandy DP. But the economics and the environmentals have been touted for years and still we are fumbling around in the dark. If it was that clear cut, then why are still in the position we are in.The simpler less hassle solution in this case is being taken up.

If our product is so fantastic then producers would be clambering over each other to produce it.

but once again shows that emulsion fuels per se are not the issue....its our incompetents thst are.

i once emailed them about bangladesh, which is highly dependent on burning hfo in power stations.

i got the reply that they had a local represtative on the ground but it wasn't a priority.

so goodfuels ( even though not emulsion fuels) and now fowe are forging ahead and our super duper can do anything wonderful has been lying in the moroccan sun for 6 months and is having a hard time finding anybody who wants to produce it.

And then you see articles like this with MSC cruises forging ahead....so if the cruise division can do it, then so can the container division leaving the turd of QED floating in the bowl.

How people can still be placated and apologetic for failed timelines is beyond me. The trial should have finished before the tragedy of the earthquake struck. Once again JM the king of wishful thinking struck out on his perceived view of the timelines. And this is the problem time and time again..

Looking at this from just a QED buisness perspective only, I think this is the end of the line for Morocco. OCP are not going to be overly concerned about MSAR they will be looking at how it affects operations and how to continue supply as normal depending on damage to infrastructure. Once again events overtake QED, better to be lucky than good and QED are neither.

Sure JM has his backup plan as a consultant for Shell or BP on emulsion fuels sorted if Morocco goes t#ts up again.

We've had all factors in our favour..Economics of HFO versus VLSFO, we've had Environmental factors which only through dedicated shareholders persistence in lobbying the board have QED decided to run with. We've had a diesel crisis due to Ukraine and still.........
