Finally managed to increase holding. Am now done until I get some geology on Singida.

Perhaps SC and R&M have withdrawn. Can sell with ease but no stock available at any price. Maybe the demand will ease later.

The Lihranda corridor, covering 30-square kilometres with a land package of approximately 1,600 square kilometres is among the key projects leaders are focused on in the region's development agenda.

I note Kakamega is possibly the central point in the corridor and 5 acres has already been delineated for the refinery. Should we give mid-2022 as the starting date and a 5-year mine life for known reserves?

I noted one poster's comments a few days back and recall first looking at Shanta circa2011.
At the time the SP was 30/32p. It was double the price in 2005.
Investors - numbers unknown - have held on for many years and may now start to see some daylight.
Frustration can sometimes be overwhelming, eg. I very nearly hurled in my SOLG this afternoon after perceived poor performance by NM&co.
Keeping up the belief is testing to say the least.

Just taking another look at Singida. One tends to forget some of the detail at times.

Yep. Confirmed. I was surprised when a couple of managers (one in NY) told me they would never touch AIM stocks. So this development is unusual.

I see the 250k sale is cancelled. So whilst not a big deal there is a small chance of the SP getting over the 17.5p line later.
In which case I might keep an eye on SHG at odd moments today.

Incidentally, EZ explained the logic behind, e.g. Sustainable's, reduced holdings. They are merely acting in accordance with their policy/practice. It is therefore possible we see an end to drip selling quite soon.

The stand-out feature across all licences is the shallow depth of the ore bodies. And the indications are they continue at depth when further drills are completed. It is not like the ultra-deep Witwatersrand vertical shafts into the dolomite. Also when seeing the Kenyan grades it is difficult to grasp Au gm grades per metric tonne. Some of them appear so high that it is awkward to assess them as accurate. But we continue to see them in company data.

Wrt to US data I am slightly uncomfortable about not having taken earlier action with more potential gold stocks in their infancy. Most of us saw this coming early in the year. Many of us have done little or nothing about it. The handouts have been reckless. A big worry is resumption of a second covid wave and a population expecting further bailout. These attitudes are not confined to first world countries alone. Others now have GDP falls in excess of 50%.

Are we in I-told-you-so malaise?

Yes, I shall be revisiting it too. Was an investor here until some delightful media destroyer - I forget his name - trashed the SP with vitriol. The result was a crash from ~21p to ~6p. I don't know if any legal action was taken but it was an unsavoury period. It is very likely my next purchase after exiting a couple of dogs.

NM's baloney has to be given the chop very quickly. He is losing the confidence of private equity investors at a fast rate. Real progress has to be made across at least one drilling site. There's been too much foot-dragging and too much complacency on the flagship operation. Unless assurances have been given on all aspects of Cascabel by the main players the bloated workforce is starting to look like a white elephant. A stagnant SP surely invites a hostile lowball bid.

Someone has made a reference to the Amerisur shambles and his views were dismissed on two occasions. The only difference was the smugness of GC and his board plus the company having a for sale sign up. The bid was ridiculed, nothing else emerged, and the company despite all its promise and profit ended in failure.

There should be a different outcome here. On present evidence, however, it is being run to the wire. Let's have some meaningful detail which is being kept under wraps. I speak as someone who has been on board since 2011.

I think we have just moved out of 17.5p. Maybe for good.
Would like to toss a few more pennies at this stock, but all available funds are in SOLG.

The pattern is not unlike yesterday. It would be satisfying to know the source of the endless supply of stock. The company broker will be in the picture. We must presume it is Sustainable Capital continuing to offload. If so, best to ignore for another month.
