Although not definitive yet I might have erred thinking there was credibility in aggressive behaviour from the majors. Surely by now we would have had some indication of their intentions. Bristow has been the strongest voice for Tier One project search but it has to date led nowhere.
My best take on the subject is SOLG have so many prime tenements they are not going to have the ability or punch to handle more than one. Logically it would be Alpala where all building blocks are in place and a 700+ workforce is well established. The bulk of it has been trained from scratch and key positions are being filled along the way as required.
La Hueca, Porvenir, Bianca, etc will be proved up and shelled out to the highest bidders. The Ecuadorian government possibly set it all up as a precondition.
NM has been rigid in the idea of taking the flagship project to development stage. Granted he is not inflexible. We should remember, however, that some ambitious individuals have a vision. He is one of them. And he did say 10 years ago that he would develop a $2bn. The statement is rooted in my head.
With the current bid @ 38.032p on a penultimate watershed date, whereas it should be on its way to the 50s, the marketplace seems totally underwhelmed. Believe me, I would like to be seriously wrong with this opinion.
