Seems I miscalculated all round on PoG, Sukari and Burkina Faso yet it all seemed quite plausible after diligent desktop study. I should also remember a great-uncle senior mining engineer based on the Reef. He backed the farm on gold. In those days it was tied to the gold standard. And he lost everything because gold was pegged to $40/oz. Caveat emptor.

Have taken a rain-check on gold stocks, i.e. no further buying. Focus is now strongly directed at Cu in Ecuador, Oz and Zambia together with a lucrative Peruvian oilie.

The 500k was a buy. Looks as though a fair wind will start the day tomorrow. Would be good to see the traders taking a holiday because they do NvS no favours.

I note Minopex are analysing the cores. So they are probably being trucked down to Woodmead, Johannesburg, unless Maputo have branch facilities.

The drill targets comprise an interesting study which suggests widespread random mineralisation perhaps better defined at Bushiangala. The Isulu results look okay and better than expected and I can see why Acacia were advocating a specialist open-pit partner. It is, however, early days.

Two points stood out:
0 In WK the plan is to drill to 100 m (very much Rosterman-style). Some shafts and tunnelling may well follow open excavation procedure
0 At some point drilling will step outside license area(s)/footprint in both Kenya and Tanz. Intriguing.

It would be wrong imposing an opinion which could be bullocks.
I'll have another look although any comment could take some time coming.

Until then would-be investors should probe all mines in a 100-mile radius. Offhand they include -
Capricorn
and one to the north of it (was it Mt Helen?)
Eloise
Gunpowder
Mt Isa
Mt Colin
Rocklands

Because grades are now inferior to the halcyon days, say, Okiep it has to be established if all the listed Queensland mines were largely open-pit ops. If moderate grades in sufficient quantities are located at Bid One they have to be near surface to be economical. In effect decisions have to be based on historical data; replication can possibly occur at Mt Oxide.

I remain uncertain as apro well knows. Cangai at one time looked the better bet. It has, however, gone off the boil, i.e. a JV partner seems slow to come forward.

I very nearly pressed the buy button at the bell . . . then suddenly remembered mining lease renewal and having written on it. I therefore again wonder how long it could take and how the license sequence operates. Have come unstuck on this detail before, i.e.

lease > exploration licence > exploitation licence > water licence

It doesn't seem to be bothering anyone else.

Reckon I'll hold on to the stock until 50p or even later.
Four more horizontals plus a JV on #107 could really leapfrog the SP.
Also, hadn't realised GTE have an extensive wedge to the west of the block.

Nope, but I am shortly going to have a look at DRC, Katanga province. Also taking a refresher on the Kalahari and re-opening of any Namibian copper mines. These are areas well known to me.

CCZ can possibly do well in Queensland. It's just the messing about that bothers me. Also, the so-called rainy season has hardly happened this year. The apparent absence of tracked drill rigs from Brisbane (or wherever) deters me . . . can't get through muddy tracks with them trucks.

Nice pic. I must check later to see if that is a NLGM tunnel. If not is it a shot of Rosterman? Doubtful though as the drill update definitely describes Bushi and Isulu.

Noted that with two sells this morning that current bid has crept up to 18.6001p which suggests there is a biggish buy lurking primed for this afternoon. Only have £400 in the kitty which buys very little @ 18.95p. Ah well . . .

MajorT, it was a gold prospect (not Cu) GNM -ASX at Camel Creek, not their Big Rush target. I queried it but was not overly impressed as it is prospectively valued ~500k oz at best. Will be returning to CCZ shortly.

My big hope remains ARCM, as I know the territory, and SOLG to a lesser extent. CCZ should do okay although the CEO keeps on tossing the odd curve ball. Can't understand why he is reviving Cangai at this point. There was a problem there, whatever it was.

Sublime management but then they have been ever since the Roan play came to the fore. No telling where the SP will rest even before Anglo shows their hand.

A nudge up but I can not see any trades this morning.

Tornado, how soon is "eventually"? It's been painful for months and has caused me to plough meagre reserves into a couple of others. The offloading freewheelers have discouraged me for a long time. Had wondered is EZ/LL would have better advised to orchestrate a buyback.
