Now SXX is 36.5p and the S&P is 2861

My purchases have been on the basis of 20%-25% stage 2 dilution
If it's all equity - great - if not then it's no great surprise
In any case the SP will be a lot higher in 5 years from now :)

If there is dilution I can't see it being a rights issue - much more likely to follow the stage 1 pattern of a placing with an open offer to placate existing shareholders.
but I am coming to the view that political expediency will mean HMG backing and no dilution

I appreciate the stages of the approval process and that it is normally a to and fro affair but presumably stage 4 does not start until all the banks etc are lined up. Do we have any idea how long the assessment might take?

At the back of my mind has always been a nagging fear that HMG will not turn us down but will simply not make any sort of decision (Swansea lagoon, Heathrow 3rd runway etc). The "risk assessment" they are due to carry out will take how long????
There is no way CF will wait around for HMG - the mine gets built - go to "plan B"
It seems as though EDC could lead to a no dilution alternative if HMG plays silly buggers

Thanks for putting it in English. I have just been looking at EDC web site and they do seem to emphasise their expertise on exporting to China. Canada is the worlds largest producer of potash so they probably are familiar with the fertiliser market.
They would seem to be a good source of expertise to be behind us.
Not clear why they are interested in a British company??
