LL Fred was in India when this topic last came up. Since the BOD has a stated policy (backed by a big bonus) of attracting institutional investors then consolidation is likely at some point. Fred It's all in the mind - you like a small SP - American institutions like a $50 or $100 SP. No logic behind it either way:)
Milo Or one could look at the professionals who two years ago put $400m into the convertible bonds to get 8.5% - when Sirius didn't even have a hole in the ground. Since then, nothing has got riskier and the timescale is two years shorter. If those guys got the odds right then even a 50p SP in 5 years time is still a good bet
You lot all seem to be forgetting Investing rule 1 - do NOT get emotionally involved -yes SXX is an absorbingly interesting case but if you keep getting all het up you will probably never live to see 20mtpa
This sounds like a really good marketing approach - better than "niche", "new", "disruptive", "organic" etc - can sell to each and every farmer with "enhancement"
I am a pretty tolerant type and have never filtered out any poster but have finally run out of patience with Skier1 and hit the button Suggest you all do the same
The honest folk on this board preface remarks with IMO and DYOR but purely as a result of a Revelation I now know that the first road header machine will reach the polyhalite seam on Friday April 15th 2021. So the SP will get to £1 a week or two later (probably)
Which of you is running the First Poly Sweepstake?
Just found this wonderful quote which can be applied to SP, Brexit etc "It would be almost culpable euphoria to suppose that anything is likely to happen"
Verde
Another quote I found "progress bustles along" - sounds like Woodsmith :)
Thanks for the replies - the Channel Tunnel is the obvious example and to just abandon the machines sounds the simplest way out but I thought these things were being leased and £8m a pop may be nothing to HMG but £16m for the two may worry the rest of us:) Myo - the other two possible shafts seem to be in the wrong place for this purpose and since they are described as ventilation shafts I assumed they were only small bore.
This morning I woke up worrying about Sirius - not the SP but the big machines that are going to bore the tunnel. The number one machine is OK - it starts off down a ramp and when it gets to Lockwood they presumably take it to bits and hoist it up the shaft and away. What about the other two machines - they are due to meet somewhere between Woodsmith and Lockwood - nose to nose - then what? They can't reverse because the concrete segments would prevent it - so are they broken into small bits and hauled 12km back? This is a serious question - the internet just shows tunnel boring machines breaking through into empty space!
