Almost £1 billion of taxpayers’ money has been wasted on an anti-Covid drug that makes “no significant difference”, The Telegraph can disclose.

Less than two per cent of the 2.23 million courses of the antiviral drug molnupiravir procured by the Department of Health have ever been prescribed to patients, analysis by The Telegraph shows.

The rest are unlikely to ever be used after research found the drug makes “no significant difference” to hospitalisation or death rates.

Bird flu has jumped to foxes and otters, scientists have revealed.
The Animal and Plant Health Agency (Apha) found nine otters and foxes were among 66 mammals positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1, with some seals also infected.
It is thought that they had fed on dead or sick wild birds infected with the virus and there was "a very low likelihood of any widespread infection in GB mammals", Apha said.
Around the world, the record outbreak of the disease led to the death of about 208 million birds with at least 200 recorded cases in mammals, according to figures seen by the BBC.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said that "bird flu is primarily a disease of birds and the risk to the general public’s health is very low".

However, researchers worldwide are investigating the risk of other species becoming infected.

What worries me is that their appears no likelihood of there being a swift outcome in our dispute with DHSC .
If there is to be an out of court settlement it won't happen until much nearer the court date.
There is therefore little downside in shorting the share leaving more manipulation in the coming year.
This is reinforced by a mute BOD with seemingly no plan going forward.

I have to agree with you Captain.
Even if they did exist there would be no point in paying someone when the company is doing a far better job of it they they ever could.
They are best ignored, but this has been said many times before.

We need people at the helm with lower salaries and high incentive targets for getting the share price moving in the right direction.
All too cosy for the current board.

A company looking to acquire us would almost certainly be in the sector and will be looking to incorporate the company within it's own business. This has a significant value over your calculation.

No one wants another explosion of serious covid.
But I can see no other way that the share will rise to a level where LTH'S can escape unscathed.
