Oracles take out of Grapeshot9 Apr 2026 10:49
Oberon , one of Silver Bullets main investors writes the following about SBDS
“ A data technology company that allows global businesses to unlock the value of their marketing data assets.
Silverbullet’s proprietary technology, 4D, enables brands to target consumers without the use of cookies. The only comparable technology, Grapeshot, was acquired by Oracle in 2018 for $325 million. They have seen rapid growth since 2016, with a client base of over 70 blue-chip clients, including Heineken, Bosch and American Express, and are operating globally.”
This is what AI states about the takeover Grapeshot by Oracle .
“ Prior to its acquisition by Oracle in April 2018, Grapeshot was a rapidly growing ad-tech startup with significant revenue growth but mixed profitability.
Key financial details before the takeover include:
Revenue Growth: Grapeshot was growing at over 100% year-over-year prior to the sale.
2016 Financials: According to filings, the company had a turnover (revenue) of £9 million in 2016.
2016 Profitability: In 2016, the firm reported an operating loss of nearly £2 million (or around £1 million depending on the report).
2017 Revenue: Sources indicated that revenue for 2017 was approximately £24 million, with the company becoming profitable by the time of the sale.
Valuation/Revenue Mix: A large portion of their business was generated in the US, with a 2017 post-money valuation estimated at around $56 million (£40.2 million).
Acquisition Value: While the valuation in May 2017 was $56 million, Oracle acquired the company in 2018 for a reported $325 million (including earn-outs). ”
If Oberon are correct, and Silver bulletins is in such a niche market, with little competition, and is now according to company heading into a period of growth …..then bodes well. Imo
