I think there is little strength to autostores claim so if it came to it the parties could settle down the line for a relatively small fee. The case has led to much profit taking. If the legal case is not a big issue then this price of £25 is an incredible entry point. Market conditions for tech and online grocery are as good as ever.

Statement in the Times is very different to RNS. RNS says first we've seen re the new claim, we are investigating, we're not aware of any infringement etc

Times statement importantly states they have looked it over and they see no merit to autostores claims.

Think norrab1 is referring to Ocado's initial statement. Within which they say they're investigating autostores infringement of Ocado patents

Fair enough statement. They've looked and don't believe there is anything in autostores legal case. Of course they can't stop the case from going ahead against them though.

Has been an incredibly profitable journey in OCDO over the past 3 years but a stutter now. No regrets but there is a question mark over the company and many use that to profit take and short. Market conditions and the shift to online grocery are as good as ever.

Very hard to judge currently. I can't ascertain if the wider market knew about Ocado suing autostore and losing in the Norwegian courts in 2017. Anyone know if this was known information?

Still on the fence but watching the situation closely. Yes an RNS would do a world of good to clear up many things the market are reading into the situation.

Ocado sued autostore in 2017 (see below) so Ocado will be very much aware of the potential issues regarding this new case you would think?

"This is not the first tangle between the robotic inventors. A subsidiary of Ocado sued AutoStore in Norway in 2017 to dispute the inventorship of the respective systems’ cavity robot. AutoStore said a Norway jury and appellate court affirmed it was the “true inventor” of that technology"

Neil is coming here and posting "advice" on the Ocado board when he himself sold out the share massively prematurely at £5. You couldn't make it up yet he still criticises the company. I'll keep pointing this out....

I would certainly invest at the current Ocado share price if I had spare funds. Today was hampered by the very negative market headwinds due to Trump's covid.

I believe Ocado will have foreseen autostores speculative lawsuit and have a robust defence/ counterattack ready for them

For me this is a clear tree shake and a great opportunity to for many to buy into Ocado. Good to see a strong finish today. I absolutely agree with Ocado's RNS. They cannot say further until they have gone through the details which they will have only first seen yesterday.
