Agreed Kslonee. Ocado have a majority stake in Jones food co - the biggest vertical farm in Europe. With Ocado's robotics they will be able to revolutionise operations there. They are planning on placing vertical farms next to CFC'S in the future. This will bring a whole new meaning to fresh food. The salad, herbs etc you order will be cut and delivered within a few hours. A superb innovation that will further differentiate Ocado's online solutions from the competition.

Yes modsto123, inflation data out of the US wasn't as high as some thought. It means that the Federal reserve should be able to stick to it's low interest rate policy for the foreseeable future. Good news for Ocado as new CFCs will need financing in the future. US treasury 10 year rates fell today on the back of the news. Every 2 years or so Ocado needs to add to its own financing. There is though the possibility in the future of Ocado selling the remaining half of the joint venture with Marks and Spencers that they own in the UK. They would receive around £1.5/£1.75bill for this.

Move today simply clawed back the loss from yesterday but good to see the share price steering clear of the £19.70 bottom it hit recently.

I'm not offended it's just that we all need to work together to keep the board on topic and relevant.

This is an Ocado share discussion board. We do not look at IAG here. Ocado has vastly outperformed IAG over the years. Have a dig for Ocado info. We love reading that here.

Yes, ordinarily no fundraising until roughly end 2022. I think a fundraising will occur sooner than that though due to a major Ocado Solutions overseas deal being signed.

Yes, the Parisian store is kind of like an Argos setup. Only the warehousing isn't in the store, it's at the nearby Ocado powered CFC. Myrmex are cutting edge at kerbside pickup. They would be the best in class at maximizing the opportunity in this case.

Such an interesting example as it would be super costly and most likely a failure to situate a new huge Marks and Spencers foodhall next to an already established large Waitrose. However if you can open a tiny store, utilize Myrmexs curbside pickup and utilize an underused car park then you can cheaply move in on a Waitrose dominated area...

The Parisian outlet is a 50m sq shop. Tiny!

In the French case it would be like opening a super small Marks and Spencers for click and collect only with carpark attached next to an already existing huge waitrose. Interesting...

Interesting development below. Groupe Casino's Ocado powered CFC has been operational for a year now in Paris. The article outlines how Monoprix (part of Groupe Casino) has opened a small shop as a click and collect point. It is situated very near a Carrefour branch in an area where Monoprix has little representation. The shop boasts that though it's a small shop it offers the biggest range of items in Paris. Clever marketing. I think this is a taste of what will occur across Ocado CFC geographies in time. Click and collect represents another strong revenue stream for Ocado
