you could call it a fight at 39p. down 25% on the day its clear whether buyers or sellers came out on top.

lol of course if rvenues are zero it will be v-shaped. but post covid revs will always be lower than pre covid revs. its a new normal. the only question is can they earn enough to pay off their debts. if there is any otyher question to answer the shares would be 300p not 30p. but they are 30p hence the big risk of total failure for equity shareholders. even debt holders could take a huge hit here.

think how long it will take those who bought on friday at 39p to make 30%. in those terms you should be happy with that return as others will be crying into their porridge.

coulda shoulda looking back in hindsight on how much you could make is master of all failure. either sometime is done or it is not. then move on. cineworld shares are highly speculative and even the company itself has said the going concern issue is not a straight forward one. with debts of over 8 billion and half of which are to stay and a mkt cap of 350m, means money cannot be raised without wiping out current shareholders. even debt restructuring means shareholders wipe out. the only way this does not happen is if they start selling lots of tickets. which they cant as they have just closed. in the meantime films will start being released online and things may never be the same again in terms of volume for them.

given the outlook its pure speculation and gambling at these levels. without fresh money the company is unlikely to survive.

16p/17p folks. no way they can raise equity at this mkt cap. other solutions are to talk to debt holders about a haircut but i doubt they care this side of administration. anybody buying even here to hold for longer than a swing trade needs to be careful.

gaps often get filled but sometimes they are too far away to consider. here its only a few percent so possibly if overall market weakness persists. a second gap exists at 315 also i would expect a bounce from that area 315-325 unless overall market in correction.

mkts will rally i would expect after a very short quick dip of maybe 1%. reps got no real candiate and biden is calmer for mkts better for trade. either way stocks in general will always go up while fed prints.

Ocado's initial reaction that "it's the first they have heard of this new claim" is a good lead. the word "new" was used as back in 2017 Steiner took Autostore to court over use of tech in Norway. It's a case which Ocado lost and Autostore was allowed to use the tech in Norway.

was/is ripe for a stop run. absolutely nothing in the near term share specific to materially move it higher. nearterm underperformance stands until support reached or positive newsflow.

i think below 351 its becomes possible. the gap is where you expect the support but in the 330-300 zone there was a lot of churn so you can expect it to stop somewhere there at worst, all things being equal. i say this because only on government intervention would you see a move under 300p imo. that doesnt look likely at this stage but its something to watch.

better to travel than arrive. esp if on arrival there are some not so great surprises. overall results were fine, but imp everyone expected this. nobody was surprised.
