Even though the UK left the EU, some on here feel the need to keep bashing the EU every opportunity they get. This isn't a politics bb, so that sort of rabid, foaming at the mouth type of anti-EU rhetoric has no place here.

The ongoing pandemic and, more recently, the GameStop issue have caused more uncertainty in the markets. Uncertainty harms markets and shares are down accross all regions. Enter the gloom monger.

RR should not go anywhere near 55p. A Twix costs more than that and there are plenty of those in circulation!

Give it a fortnight and the SP will be on the up again. In the meantime, we can expect volatility across the board IMHO.

I bought in at 93p just after RI and held just over 205k. Sold the lot at 128p and reinvested proceeds today at 93p, with a little top up.

Average remains 93p but share holding is up a lot. I'll be holding now until 130p, maybe longer if things take off.

Congrats on averaging down to 120p. Hopefully we'll get there in a few months.

Yes, currently topping the FTSE 100 fallers. It can't rain every day but it's been pi55ing it down this week.

Okay, well let's not say they went bust when they haven't gone bust. Let's say there is a rumor that they didn't cover their position and that if that rumor turns out to be accurate most regular investors will be pi55ing themselves laughing.

ARSENAL17 is sat long on quite a few shares averaging in the 140s per share. He's down over 30% on paper. He may not be skint but his RR holdings can't be thanked for that!

Always do your own research and broker research should form part of that wider research.

The Daily Mail is targeting a very specific audience; mostly retired people. Their stories are aimed at that level. The news they report is therefore spun in a certain way to appeal to those minds. Perfect if you enjoy tutting at the World but absolutely useless if you are after a balanced view.

Breaking free must be like taking the red pill in the Matrix. Enjoy your new found freedom.

Anything published by the Daily Mail should come with the following warning:

"We, at the Daily Mail, will do whatever it takes to sell our crappy newspapers. We will put a negative spin on even the most mundane bit of news in order to whip you into a frenzy. If all else fails, we will come up with some pictures of the Royal Family for you to look at, or tell you that scientists are close to curing diabetes. "

Seriously, you'll never get sensible information out of rubbish like the Daily Mail and the Daily Express. Block them and get some information from a reputable source instead.

I agree that this is a buy at the moment. The SP has been drifting between 104p and 109p for what seems like weeks now, so 102p could be a decent entry point even for a short term investor.

Some news on the search for a new chairman. I expect things will really start to shift up a gear when the new chairman takes over.

BulletDog - just ignore ARSENAL17. Apparently he's got a large holding in RR at an average price in the £1.40s. He's a bit sensitive to any comments that don't support the view that this is a great company. I've no doubt it is, but it obviously wasn't a great investment at an average price in the £1.40s. Benefit of hindsight and all that.

Anyway, I'm sure his next post will be to call me a "Troll" so looking forward to that :)

PFen - I'm not a shorter, so that you know. I hold shares mid to long term.

Investors will look at a company's SP and take a view that the SP is over or undervalued, given the outlook over a particular time horizon. At 93p my view was that RR was undervalued so I bought. Someone will be taking the view that at 109p it's overvalued and short. There is nothing sad about taking either position IMHO. It's a matter of making some money out of a given opportunity.

Long term RR should do okay but there are going to be some ups and downs. Lth will enjoy the ups and shorters will enjoy the downs.

It's been difficult to see the SP slip from 130p but the fall is not due to people shorting. It's down to a drop in income at RR and a lack of certainty about when the recovery will come.
