For anyone with a Hargreaves Lansdown account, it seems that HL does not loan stock from its nominee account.

If you're with another broker, it may be worth trying to put in an upper limit sell order at say 500p in an attempt to stop your holdings being loaned out to the likes of Hedge Funds. Might not work but what have you got to lose...?

Does that show US positions too, or is it just UK disclosures?

Exactly. So, it looks like RH are trying to get around that issue by allowing a token investment.

It's a pretty lame argument but I can't see any other purpose behind allowing a nominal investment.

I get that, what I don't get is why they are allowing five shares to be purchased. What's the point, why not just block all purchases and be done with it?

Robinhood are taking the p155 in allowing only five shares to be purchased. They should either have the guts to ban purchasing altogether, or let people get on with it.

They know full well that nobody will want to buy five shares but they also want the wriggle room to argue that they didn't prevent purchases. I can't see how they can argument would be accepted though. To all intents and purposes, they are blocking anything but meaningless token investments.

Surely you can do all that without posting drivel about RR going down to 55p...?

I suspect that is some sort of systems glitch, maybe. I can't see why it would deliberately restrict RR to only five shares.

It would be amazing to see RR shoot up next week at the cost of a hedge fund or two but that's unlikely.

protraderx - with the same amount of effort I can tell you that everything you mention has been factored into the price already and that, once the market jitters about the short squeeze have settled, RR will be back above 100p. Possibly 110-120p but it may never happen, no problem, there are other opportunities out there.

I wouldn't do that though, even though it makes a lot more sense than the drivel you're spewing out.
