I agree its unlikely CleverThoughts. It's a response to Sanctions from the West, SWIFT etc. If the Russian state requisitions all assets within their birders but listed on foreign stock exchanges I imagine that would precipitate a massive market meltdown. It's all part of warfare by other means. Nevertheless, the threat has been made.

Russia could seize all the Company's assets within Russia. Medvedev has already posited that as a possibility.

I see the sp near halved, before the invasion, at the effective date of the demerger. But I'm really struggling to get a handle on what proportion of the previous market cap the now demerged coal interests account for. Is it really about half, or was that drop overdone?

After some absolutely atrocious service back in Jan I decided the time had come to transfer my investment isa from Barclays to a different provider, having been with them since they took over Charles Schwab back in 2003 (yes I have been gambling on the stock market that long and longer). Barclays decided to block the transfer - I can't understand the garbled reason the gave when I got it touch to ask what was going on, but they did it without telling me. Now they've frozen the account so I can't trade in it, but they still haven't transferred it. Over a month after I authorised the transfer, and in these days of near instantaneous electronic money transfer. To anyone still with them, they are very expensive for the rubbish service they provide. Apologies for the rant, but I needed to offload.

It's closed £1.78 down, or 67p down adjusted for the divi. So could have sold yesterday and bought back today fir a better return even with dealing costs and stamp duty. Having said that, it's a relatively modest drop with the markets dash for cash following the invasion of Ukraine. It's actually a good safe haven defensive stock, so should recover.

The people of for example Iran and North Korea are starving, broke, and unhappy with their leaders. Don't forget Putin used to work in the apparatus for maintaining control over an unwilling populace by fear.

Still a better than 4% yield on this interim divi alone. Today's the last day to buy and secure it. Very interested to see how much it gets dropped tomorrow, ex-div. This is a long term hold for me though, I'm pivoting to high yield div stocks now.

Guys, we are talking business here. The aim is to buy low, sell high. Biosynex will try to get as much of NCYT as possible as cheap as possible. If they put in a bid - if - it will be low. No-one bids high first go. Don't you watch the apprentice? Ever been to a souk, or a car boot? It's called haggling. BTW, I've never seen an AIM company bring taken over without howls of rage from PIs that its going for a song. But I have seen AIM companies rejecting what in retrospect were generous offers before going on to crash and burn.
