Pretty big buying

Sadly no spare cash at the moment, or I'd have bought some at 8:20. But I'm not selling yet. Equinor may decide to try a sidetrack, as the West Phoenix is there and the hole drilled. Depends what data they get, which will take a few days at least to process. And even if they don't, they will be releasing revised volumes in around 5 weeks. Ok, the dreams of 100m+ barrels have gone, but with the 3D, I'm hoping it will be above 30m.

Weirdly the trade info above shows 18k buys, which seems to be missing the 20k buy this afternoon. With moneyam gone, I've been reduced to watching this for volume info. Thwarted again.

Honestly this green self-delusion might be amusing, a bit like the commited sky pilots, but its extremely worrying when you try and force it on the world. OAPs will literally die of the cold in the winter if this gets forced through.

Assuming that the current Government in Ireland do block this, and they don't seem minded to let it pass, the next elections in Ireland are not until April 2021. Therefore, if the appraisal drills establish commerciality, the JV can apply for a production licence. I appreciate that that won't go through overnight, but I imagine they are well aware of this proposed legislation, and will apply for the production licence at the earliest possible opportunity to try and secure it before those elections, just in case.

The Saudis recently commented on the worrying rise of this sort of thing, and observed how unrealistic it was to expect the world to be powered by green energy right now. Irish consumers will either face stupendous heating bills if they go along with this, or they can bask in the warm Irish winters. Anyone lived in Ireland in the winter? I have.

While its true that this only applies to future licences now, there's no guarantee what will happen if the green loons manage to get into a position of power following the elections. It would only be 22p if it was a hostile bid. Can anyone seriously believe MA would offer 22p a share. And pick up the debt. That is nit how people become rich. If the biard agreed 5p was a fair offer. And met his pre condition demands. Then, he might offer 5p. Only might.

MA has indicated he MAY make an offer, but only if certain pre conditions are met. If he doesn't, or if the Board don't meet the pre conditions, shareholders get wiped out. At least with most AIM punts you can choose your exit to manage losses. A punt with the possible risk of losing everything you put in is very high risk. I'm taking a pass on Debenhams personally.

Let's hope the Debenhams board are a bit more respectful if the interests of shareholders than May and Parliament are of the democratic decision of the people. Seems to be the norm these days to flagrantly ignore duty in favour of feathering nes own nest.
