Given that there aren't a huge number of phd shares I'm quite surprised that the 370k bought over the last few hours haven't caused a bigger price rise. Still, volume picking up again, and on the buy side now is good to see.

Hi DrWho. I've spoken to my brokers who said they delisted in 15 March, and there was a 30 day period after that. I was going to request a paper certifcate, but the brokers said they could just sit in my nominee account. I had some in an isa, they can't stay there so the broker will just transfer them to my trading account. I can get them issued out on a paper certificate at any time, but as I currently don't have any info about how to get them registered in Cyprus (and a poster on advfn suggests this might be complicated) I'm just goung to let them sit in my account for now. If they relist, or an offer is made, this is administratively easier than getting them on a certificate, then having to get them back into an account. I'll wait and see what the company say.

It's a good question. I think it's fair to say that Verbier is a longer drill than Pip and Bigfoot, so maybe will cost half the 18 mil. But they won't know exactly until they've finished. If they decide to drill the sidetrack, they'll have to keep the drill for lnger so will incur higher costs. We do know Jog are fully funded for it. They've indicated capex of £9-10m this year, which on the face of it could pretty much cover the full cost of the Verb drill. Hopefully there will be some left over for Cortina.

The Govt tabled a Statutory Instrument last night to amend the EU withdrawal Act exit date, to bring it into line with what the EU had proposed, i.e. 12 April if May's deal isn't passed, 22 May if it is. Or of course a much longer (indefinate) extension if requested.

Although I voted leave I thought it wouldn't happen when May took over, having read the spiked Telegraph article dissecting her shortcomings during the Tory leadership contest. There truely is something wrong with our political system when people like her, and Gordon Brown shared similar weaknesses, can become PM and force decisions which are obviously not in the national interest.

On the subject of news, I was saying I wasn't sure if we will get any before the full results are released. I would regard hitting oil as price sensitive, although not I hope unexpected. But it should warrant an RNS because the guys in the rig/supply ships will know. So to preempt news leaking, the market should be informed. But on the other hand, Equinor don't seem to care about that sort of thing, so I just don't know if anything will be released.

I agree about the incontinent issuing of RNSs and I was drawing the comparision with SOU because I think that approach can be safely ruled out here.

Although I haven't been here as long as some, I've been here long enough not to be screaming for immediate massive uplifts in the price. It will come in its own good time.

In terms of news, I'm not necessarily 'expecting' anything before mid Q2, but it's possible we will get updates, for example, at TD, if there are oil shows, if they go ahead with the sidetrack, that sort of thing. I am well aware that Equinor are not given to telling the market much beyond the bare necessities, and they take their time doing it, so I am not expecting a SOU type RNS almost daily release on the various stages of the drill. We will get what we're gven, but I'd be quite surprised if its total silence between now and mid May.

I should have added, when they did the sidetrack back in 2017, it noy took 20 days from announcing that they'd started that to the announcement of success with an estimate of 25-130m boip. But they're trying fir a much more accurate assessment this time, which will take longer to work out.

But seriously, the Equinor campaign, including Ragnfrid, was estimated to be four to five months. I think it kicked off late November, so I guess Equinor have it until around the end of next month. Other posters have suggested its free for longer than that, but I'm afraid I can't remember the details.

Don't forget, Equinor will want to get all the info they can from the drill, then synthesise it with the 3D seismic, so we may get some preliminary info, such as hitting TD, and if they sidetrack, but the actual revised estimates probably will turn up around mid May.

GB reminds me of Vlad over on the Ithaca board a few years ago (bigbench should remember him). Pbody. You have repeaedly asserted that the end if year results are mid summer. And yet the trading update, which gave notice of results, said: "the Board ... expects to provide an update within its interim results, scheduled for 29 April 2019." So either you think late April is mid summer, in which case you're daft, or, you're just a liar.

I don't know a great deal about this, but I think it is quick and easy to get your shareholding registered on a paper certificate while it is still registered on Crest. It still is, but not for long, so get on to your broker to do this for you. You'll then have the certificate yourself.

I don't yet know who will hold the shareholder register for the company. I've asked, but intend to ring them this week. We can then contact the registrar to ask how to go about getting our certificated holdings written in to the register.

But first things frst, get your certificate asap.

Does anyone know how to "move to a certificated position on the Cypriot register of the Company."? I'm getting a certificate for my shareholding, but do not know who holds the Cypriot register of the Company. Does anyone know? Contact details would be good, although I guess I can get them online if I know who the relevant company are. I've asked on the Company Q&A section, but no response as yet.

I had never realised that timing a drill so that it spanned two tax years could be bad for the well. Then again, I'm not an oil industry insider, so the engineering and geological implications of the end of the tax year have escaped me.
