what a ridiculous scenario that the whole budget given to councils and gov dept has tp be spent or they do not receive the same amount the following year , therefore at the end of the financial year the money has to be spent/ got rid of , so they spend it on things not necessary , the mod are one of the worst offenders they sanction work to be done on barracks even though they know those same barracks are earmarked for demolition , as previously commented ,self serving t@@@@rs with no real fiscal responsibility

you may very well pay tax on your dividends in Spain , we will never know if thats the case or not , however I still believe you should be taxed on those dividends here to help the poor people in this country , that way you would not need to pay Spanish tax , and the uk would see a net benefit . That would be fairer to the people in the country you say you're citizen of wouldn't you agree

well one way of taking money from people would be to tax people with tax liabilities outside of uk regardless of them allegedly being a British national , if we tax those at say 30% would that not be a worthy case of wealth distribution , sounds fairer than allowing posters such as stp to take dividends tax free from the uk as they do not

Whats also scandalous is that foreign nationals are allowed to vote for a political party in this country , yet have no tax liabilities here , and indeed take dividends tax free , we should be taking tax from them at source just as the Americans do , perhaps people like stp would come on here bragging about the fact they can vote here , yet the policies of the present gov will not affect them regarding tax etc . Thats scandalous

1 way the uk gov could collect extra tax would be to tax non uk tax residents a premium tax , say 30 % just like the usa does to uk investors then they could claim a reduction once they prove they're tax residents in another country but limit the reduction by 10% therefore they would receive 20% tax instead of the zero they get now, I wonder how many people that are non uk tax resident would then be here crowing about how great labour are and how they're not affected by future tax rises in the UK but can still vote here with no consequences
