A SMITHY
not disputing the loss of profit and debt to date
just feel that 2026 with no profit is a bit too far away hence the reason I suggest reduced profit
I think next year will be test of how things will evolve in the future
if as you say no profit til 2026 then this company will IMO no longer exist because they would have to make some profit to pay off some of their liabilities , furthermore many of us want to go abroad for our hols , last year was a dreadful holiday here , many of us want some sun for more than 2 days in a row , it will be difficult times ahead but no necessarily as bad some think
you said earlier that EZJwont make any profit til 2026 , sure that cannot be possible , maybe a reduced profit , but certainly not no profit just saying
omg its like watching tv ,
repeats all day long
in the end its best to go and do something else as it just gets boring seeing the same things over and over ,
all the airlines have huge debt due to a block on travel , some will do better than others in the recovery thats taking place , their could even be some consolidation in the future for some of the smaller airlines , but I think the profits will need to greatly improve before that will happen , personally I do not see iag in a worse position than the likes of Lufthansa , klm / Air France or indeed many other carriers , most of the airlines are having the same problems I would suggest
Big Blue
you have gone away for a few days yet you still post here, unbelievable , your other half must be really happy you chatting with anonymous people instead of him/her ,

I was looking earlier and could not work it out , I will give it a go , at least its a way to gauge demand , thanks for sharing
Panther-Pat
could you let me know where you look to find out how many seats are taken on EZJ planes and how many are empty , thanks
Load factors
so smithy you say load factors are not up etc and they have loads of seats they can't sell , would you be able to show us a link where you have seen what you are saying to be true , I cannot find anything that confirms what you say , maybe I am not looking in the right places , so if you can prove what you are posting I'm sure we will all be grateful
Be interesting to see how it reacts this week , good news on red list reduction , I guess many will book weekend breaks away to visit friends and family among other things , here's hoping business picks up quicker now
Obviously we will get back to normal at some point , I feel we are at the beginning of getting back to normal , I see a slow grind forward over the coming months and next year from spring will be the start of the good times for EZJ , if they get through winter unscathed and in one piece I don't think they will succumb to a T/O , having said that if things become difficult again with high number of deaths / hospitalisations or new variants then anything is possible , however if things do become difficult for EZJ regarding covid it will possibly be difficult for other airlines too making it less likely to a T/O at a good price , IMO
hi speedy
well I use 212 as it happens and yes they do lend to shorters as you say , I only buy small amounts of shares at a time so 212 actually works out cheaper for me than using Hargreaves even with the higher spread so I think it depends on circumstances , furthermore I actually started with Hargreaves until I realised it was cheaper for me to use 212 , also I can buy fractional shares on 212 , I don't have endless pots of cash so I try and get best value for my money as I have to still work for it ,
Agree with that daytradenovic
the info I read did not state the vaccination status of the people who died whether they were single , double ,or not at all vaccinated so difficult to form a true idea on what the position will be in the future , I know a couple of people who have had covid recently one double jabbed no serious effects , another un jabbed also no serious effects , unfortunately its like a bloody lottery who survives and who does not
COVID
800 died in the last seven days not over a thousand , it remains to be seen if the number goes up or down in the future , no one can honestly predict what will happen , one thing is certain the country cannot be closed down permanently so at some time we will have to learn to cope with it

thanks for your replies regarding tankers etc
if their is a direct pipeline to the airports surely their are minimum tankers at airports to move fuel about , also isn't the airport land private , therefore do the tankers have to go through the same formalities as tankers being driven on the uk roads , I know they will have to meet certain safety standards but I thought they were not as strict as tankers on uk roads being as they're on private land , happy to be corrected if wrong

glad to see you posting again , I remember you from last year when I had first invested in the company , good luck if you are still in this share or not , still a few on here from the RI and before ,but many here I have not seen before , and one who likes to write a novel here most days

why is it you do not engage in debate on the EZJ bb like you do here I would have thought it more appropriate being as you say you own shares in them , just curious
nuri
I see your comments on several boards , all negative , yet you say you have sold all the shares you had in several companies and you have begun a new business venture with your wife ,if I remember correctly , yet you seem to be on these bb all day every day can't understand how you manage that with a new business

absolutely agree 100% with your final paragraph , shame a few more people do not understand that , , GLA
not just the bucket and spade brigade that use EZJ people go to visit family in other countries and of course theirs the people who use EZJ for weekend breaks to EU destinations such as Ireland , Czech Republic etc etc those breaks happen all year round , so as more people are vaccinated people will begin to feel more confident , having said that I do think it will be a slow march forward as many people are still somewhat nervous , covid will be here for a long time yet and people will learn to live with it , football and concerts are now happening , things are beginning to pick up , its not all doom and gloom , but will take a while to recover , not as far in the future that one particular poster believes . IMO GLA
