£3.50 wow I as hoping for £3.95 maybe ill wait for £3.50 now lol
@Suf
correct I worked it out last week , and was surprised
@Mararab
I asked why iag could not fly from a small regional airport which is less busy , a couple of posters replied it was not possible , can't remember why now , I thought it made sense to use smaller airports for some short haul flights , even if iag could not get baggage handlers of their own, why not have an arrangements with smaller airlines who have baggage handlers at the airport already but are not as busy as say Heathrow or Gatwick or it it too simplistic or even naive to think they could make it happen , the costs could then be split , obviously schedules and destinations would also come into play so as not to disadvantage either parties ,
THEOSUS
as you say a lot of what trump said is coming to pass, also like you say like him or loathe him ,
I think one of the main differences of trump to many other US leaders is he is not seen as a carreer politician , so doesn't always say the things they would like him to say
Thanks livestock and iag longterm and anyone else who replied to my question
Sorry if this is a dumb question , can't IAG move some of the short haul flights to some of the smaller less busy airports like London southend for example , at least they could fulfil their schedules , maybe its just too difficult just thought id see what other peoples views are thanks
hi I have just had a conversation today about airlines and staffing levels, the person I was talking to told me that a friend works as a flight attendant on an airline that flies long haul , the flight attendants said that they do not see any sign of more staff being employed and is of the view that the airline industry is overly worried about increasing staffing levels in case things go backwards again and they have to get rid of staff again , not sure how credible the attendants view is , but its a view anyway , the attendant also stated they are being asked to work longer due to lack of staff to compensate
LTI
yes I have just read it now ,
LTI
ha ha yes I should know but I don't , thats why I'm asking , but thanks for your reply
pleasantly surprised at the interim divi , I may be wrong but wasn't last years half year profits higher due to release of funds set aside for impairments etc , so if thats the case and their have not been more of the same this time the half year profit for 22 is a much better result than many realise , of course I may be mistaken , hopefully someone may know for sure
GAZZ
I didn't omit it as it was a referendum to join the common market , which on the face of it was a good idea
their was no referendum to join the eu , that was a political decision which has now been reversed ,
I was not aware of Churchills statement , but will attempt to look into that statement
@ GUIT
so you want people to deliver what they campaign for , well you'll be waiting forever for that to happen , can't believe any politicians no matter what party, they all lie to get votes
when the uk gov joined the eu without a referendum , that was the real problem , they should have asked the people if they wanted to join the eu, the uk gov only offered a referendum because they believed they would win , once they realised they lost they have done all in their power to thwart and make life difficult for the people they are supposed to represent
nutmeg
thanks for clarifying , your 18.11 post seemed to imply that people will struggle to get their money back from EZJ for cancelled Heathrow flights , so I was just confirming what I had believed to be the case , you have clarified for me
nutmeg@18.11
do ezj fly from Heathrow then
NOM
first bit I agree , I would rather their was some system out there that made it compulsory to do some sort of community work or lose part of their benefits , not someone who has only just gone onto the benefit system , but certainly someone who has been on benefits since school and are of a certain age , 30 plus years is enough I think
gb
no not idle gossip, as the family member I mentioned was also just sounding off too , do you think its right and correct for people to carry on in this manner ? ,
NOM
I would like to , but just can't bring myself to , I was just sounding off in frustration
it was really highlighting its not just young people who can be lazy
GB
lol they are known to a family member of mine , who has known them from school , thats how I know of them , its hardly detailed knowledge either , yes of course housing benefit which does of course comes from the tax payers in this country , btw thanks for the fact you are impressed with me , it means a lot , I assume you think this behaviour is acceptable , its clearly not sustainable if a larger number of people continue like this
their are lazy people in all age groups I'm afraid , one woman who lives a couple of miles from me has never worked her entire life , she has a property paid for by tax payers , furthermore she has a boyfriend who's never worked in his entire life either , he too has a property paid by tax payers , yet he stays at hers most of the time until they have a row and moves back to his for a few days , these two are just about fifty years of age , no wonder the country is going to the dogs ,
