I agree with some of what you say , however we cannot be entirely sure that china does not use gunboat diplomacy,

for example why are the Chinese gunboats trying to push the other countries boats out of the south china sea using bullying tactics , after all they are only fishing in those waters

I agree Afghanistan is rich in minerals and I'm sure the Russians and Americans probably did some testing while they were there , besides which the afghans already have a thriving economy by supplying heroin to the rest of the world

I actually do not believe that trump is a warmonger either , I feel he thinks its a waste of money which is why he is trying to row back on the amount of money they are spending .

I can in part understand how the usa government is thinking right now regarding the war in Ukraine and the money they're spending on it, plus the defence budget is huge , the usa has huge debts at the moment and I believe that trump and co are looking at how they can reduce their spending , so they quite possibly engineered the argument with Zelensky so that they could get out of paying more money or supplying equipment .

This would save them a vast amount of money , if Zelensky agreed to the peace deal then once again the usa would save money and possibly earn money from the rare earths deal , so it looks like a win win for them financially .

I do not believe the usa has any real empathy for the Ukrainians they are thousands of miles from them so do not see them as a worry .

I also believe the usa sees a way of paying less into nato if it can get the other member states to pay a larger share into the organisation , I suspect the whole thing is about money even if the Ukrainians lose some of their land .

Yes I was thinking its likely , unfortunately we have CEOS like Andy brigg of phoenix holdings who are calling for this as they want more retail investors to use the stocks and share form of isas therefore making people with very little interest or skill of using the them to take greater risks than they are wanting to take , so if they do reduce the children cash isas they will be putting our childrens future finances at a potential risk , we all know that the markets can be volatile and irrational, also it takes a certain type of person that can be patient and not to panic when the market drops for whatever reason , even among investors with experience we say an element of panic at times , let alone the constant whining if the SP does not rise at a stratospheric rate

Will children isas be cut too if adult ones are as rumoured

yes there were some complaints about food in my bay too but I didn't eat food till the last day so was not really affected ,

I recently had surgery too .I was in for 5 days , my care was pretty good with a few small exception , I couldn't wait to get out on the day I was being discharged the nurse questioned me on my leaving and asking me if I wished to stay until the next days I could finish my anti biotic course , of course I refused therefore allowing my bed to go to someone else that needed it , I have to say that nearly all the people in my bay that I spoke to were all eager to get out ,I think all the people in the bay were all working people even the people past retirement age it was refreshing to see , no dossers or malingerers at that time , I know it was only a small window of time but gave me some hope

Apparently the local authority are trying to reduce some of the workers pay by £8000 per year , not sure how many workers are involved in the pay cut
