Shell would probably be the better out of the two.yielding 6.4%

Hopefully we will start to see positive rns,a to keep the price moving

Also maybe they start buying bp shares now yielding over 5%

Newkotb. I've been wondering about the cash as well in terms of how it is invested. With over 100 milion they should be able to get over 4%.if a predator isn't put off by the rhume element I can see this being taken over.maybe even by rock rose.for me the trading update will be crucial

Had they merged with Rockrose six months ago. A credible bid for Shearwater could have occurred inmo. Also personally don't understand bp,s logic. After all they are a major shareholder in Serica. Maybe they are going to dump some other politically sensitive asset on Serica. It is starting to look like we are just a subsidiary to get rid off toxic assets. A little bit like the banks ring fencing bad debt inmo

That's Shearwater gone. Anyone any ideas as to what is left to buy. INMO they will need to do something quick. Otherwise they will be a target themselves. They really should look at paying some sort of dividend now inmo

This for me is a very sad day.
A long term investor not happy with the current way this company is now progressing. Rhume inmo is a aqilliyes heel . The Innocent Iranian citizans will never see the benefit of the funds held in escrow. especially now. Oh and before I am called a hyprocryte and charleton I have held over 300,000 for the past decade.

Ive held ten years with no reason to sell apart from rhum issue. great company . maybe they could hold off now before any new assets due to suppressed market. ONMHO.

Short term it is now all about the hedges that are in place. We currently know these expire in June 35 floor. So it is what,s in place thereafter. Hopefully this will be clearer sometime this month.
At worst I still us accumulating 60 plus million this year. Unless of course there is a prolonged shut down with the Fortis pipeline due mid year

In the short term we need to know what hedges are in place and at what level after existing hedges expire.My understanding is that we can expect a corporate update in January which should address this.
At least any assets which come up for sale will not be at an inflated price with gas prices the way they currently are

Similarly to you unvrkw.about breaking even.it would be good to get a couple of rns and see the share trading at the 20 mark

The price is where it is for the following reasons
Unknown pending deal which may require dilution
Rhume element for ethical reasons and or uncertainties with ofac
Brexit

The plus side for holders is that cash is still being accumulated.
Hopefully a decent deal will materialize with zennor and shearwater together with a nice farm in with Namibia.
