My understanding is the later drills are merely to unblock any obstacles as the reserves are already there. So no risk of failure. Only to bring production on line.
My view FWIW is what serica does to prevent a hostile takeover at these levels. Hopefully gas prices will pick up and as other more qualified posters have posted we will trade at a decent level.

Anyone have any thoughts as to the possibility that dno might be interested. As far as I can see faroe was about the same size as us before they were acquired.

Maybe we could sell our shares form a company borrow a load from banks/pe and buy it ourselves. But who would run it.

Smokkiinmo companies stay on aim because it's easier to carry out their business without informing shareholders.it speaks volumes that moving to the main market isn't a priority.

Rhume offs licence is secure with no reason why it would never be renewed.serica has done all the hard work on all fronts of the business for any wood be purchaser. Just hope that we get a decent price with not to much paper involved

Maybe we have had a lucky escape by not purchasing shearwater .we could have ended up overpaying with the way gas prices are going

That's how I also see it Newkotb. It a shame . Just think where we could be if gas was going the other way. I,m sure the board are looking at this and as you mentioned in a previous post the presentation was as if it was a document aimed at potential byers

For what its worth this is my view on the last few days .
However much we don't like it gas prices have fallen a further 20% since the end of the year. Any uplift from BKR is rapidly being eroded for the coming year and who knows where. The general market is aware of this continuous fall in gas prices of which no one seems to know what level they will bottom out.
Maybe the answer is Rhum 3 and Columbus are bought on stream as quickly as possible. Ideally after the summer.
Also does anyone know if Serica will be able to reduce production costs further . say to $10 from $13

Personslly I am resigned to the fact that this will trade similar to last year pending any substantial movement in gas prices either way. I'm holding knowing that we will have an uplift in production next year and the year after that.so hopefully dividend payments will compensate in the mean time.im going to try to avoid looking at this on a daily basis from now on

I questioned the company about why other investors were not invited to participate in the last placing.there were credible reasons but how it now looks to me is that they made a big mistake by inviting a paticicular investor to invest. Judging by the recent transactions taking place. I just hope they haven't been juped.

One danger is premier oil could take us over. Especially if bp gives the takeover their blessing. Which wouldn't surprise me inmo

One consolation sasa is that we can factor in at least a 50p increase come 2022 even if this stagnates until then

Newk. Just trying to guage how other less efficient companies will be affected in the long term as Serica maybe able to pick up some cheap assets.

I would be interested in peoples view re gas prices in respect to where people feel they will level out.

If Fincaps analysis is correct re 10p per share per 500/- then we are all in for a very pleasant surprise. As I mentioned on the other board im a bit surprised with the amount of people selling today, but you are right people do tend to sell on news. Surely they must be aware that we are due further news which could really transform the share price ??????
