Looks like we are now going to drift and at best languish at this level.
For me this is an excellent investment to hold for a further two years.( Still be glad when rhume is not the primary source ) The consolation is that IOC share is securely held in escrow earning interest. So one way to look at it is that the money is in a savings account for the Iranian citizens that they will eventually receive one day.
Going forward in less than two years Serica,s income will increase dramatically with the added potential of a major gas find on eggon. There is also the potential of another acquisition together with regular dividends payment. So taking a 18month to two year view this should at least double.
Long term investors already know this. So hopefully potential new investors will soon see what we all can see.

Good write ups their Newk. I particularly like the herald Scotland one. The company comes across very positive on all fronts. I wouldn't be surprised if a decent deal or partnership materialises soon.

Ive always hoped that there would be a merger between the two, but Rock Rose seem more aggressive in their pursuit of assets. So I wouldn't be surprised if they try and bid for us, but they would need the board on board to be successful. Also to run BKR as efficient as Serica they would need to employ most of the board and current employees inmo

Without going off on a tangent.
Maybe serica could offer their expertise to other gas producing companies and recieve payments via royalties.
Also would there be further tax concessions due to lower co2 emissions.
Also will the resourvior become more productive.

I,ll have a good read over the weekend, but the first paragraph has given me a good idea. Its also put me in another emotional dilemma. All being well I plan on putting something back at a future date.
Very difficult nowadays to invest ethically, but at least Serica are as ethical as possible.

I would appreciate people's comments in regards to flaring .my understanding is that the less an oil platform flares is for the better in regards to emissions and wasted gas. So is there a financial benefit apart from the environment benefiting which is obviously good

Good result all round inmo. Its answered most of my questions. Im also glad that there is no large acquisition in the pipeline that would have required a possible share dilution. My only concern is the amount of hedging. How I have interpreted it from the presentation is that they are constantly adjusting hedges as and when the price moves for gas. Maybe someone could clarify something as it appears that only 20% is hedged.

Fingers crossed newk. They are starting to come across arrogant and complacent inmo.A bit like bp without the market cap. Personally at this stage I am looking for a trading update and not some analysis meeting where no one can attend

Maybe Zennor could still be an option. My understanding was bids were open up until the end of last year, So we still could end up with a decent acquisition. I just hope Serica does not end up like Faroe with a hostile takeover

I'm still onboard. My problem is I am still setting my personal goals to high.o.k when you are in your twenties but not fifties. This together with my other main share investment will be the last long term share I will buy.Hence why i let off steam occasionally

The danger now newk is long term holders will start to move on.especially with stocks like rock rose.undervalued and paying a dividend

I hope they have further hedges in place and at a decent level.inmo they need to get some sort of update out.so we all know where we stand. We now are in the situation of falling gas prices and rhume with no new assets to compensate for this

I would be interested in peoples view on this.
If Serica cannot find any suitable assets. How about them investing the money being generated into various uk oil and gas companies currently listed.
