The world is rapidly turning to gas. Many power stations are switching to this. The lower gas prices are speeding up the process. So inmo although prices are low they will eventually pick up and as the process gains momentum the price should also follow. There is also going to come a point where it will not be cost effective to export the stuff.

I understand. nothing is cut and dry, but I was interested in costs associated with mothballing. I.E how much it is costing while the platform is shut be it 2 months or longer.

Has anyone a idea as to how much it would cost to moth ball the platform. Would it work out less than current production costs.

As most of us know the stock market generally looks 18 months ahead. So on that assumption (if it doesnt start before then) we should see a sustained upward movement in the share price from Junr.Due to the uplift to 100%.Not forgetting r3 and Columbus. Hopefully gas prices will follow.

My posts concerning b.p may come across as ignorant to yourself and others within the industry.
For the record I have had and still do have respect for the industry and being British b.p.After all I have invested a good proportion of my pension sip into it.Hence why my postings can appear ignorant and irrational at times

Shouldn't the issue with the rig been resolved a long time ago. Also shearwater. Surely it would have made sense selling it to serica after all bp own 5% of shares. Maybe it was offered and turned down for a reason.

The more I learn about the industry the less I like it but being ignorant has its merits in some perverse way..Where in the past I always admired companies like bp I now do not.So don't you worry about me moving my small holding elsewhere I surely will be and unless you have up to date informstion on the register you will not know as when.

Really. They seem very good at being a free cash machine to the us. Which seems ongoing. Also facilitating transactions with s debt laden company. As a investor I will certainly not be investing in bp at this moment in time.by the looks of it other people seem to have the same view

All I know is that in less than two years the company will be producing over 34000 bod eq per day net to themselves with currently no debt .
So from my previous posting. I would prefer that Bruce is off line as long as possible. B.p should and hopefully will be covering most of this. Maybe one of us can find this out before the company gets bombarded by 100s of emails

Maybe when production is resumed it could be for 50% capacity utilising the hedges so we not selling the remainder of gas at these low levels.
Hopefully this time can be used to focus on the next stage of sericas journey.i.e merger acquisition

I think the ut @115 is more to do with the drop at just after twelve today.the true level is around 118.

Another plus point.
We have one platform that can be closed quite quickly if needed.as I posted previously the longer its closed the better inmho with what is transpiring whithin the energy market at present
