Question
Why in trading statement did the company not address their plan in addressing the issues ????

There is no special dividend. There has never been one for this. if they are committed to stakeholders then they could start by how they are going to address the issues alluded in the trading statement. They are coming across like an aim share inmv

I may have missed something, but did the company give an indication as to how they planned on addressing the issues with planning, supplies and staffing going forward. Had they indicated this within the trading statement it may have mitigated to a degree the fall in the share price today inmo

Any one that openly turns on his leader isn't fit to fill any position. Had he any b...ls he would not have waited until now . Coward I would say. Let me guess he is avid football supporter who hides behind twenty people chanting

This is an opportunity for the pm to clear the decks and put in place a new cabinet with business acumen.

Boris may not be ideal,but what chinless wonder will replace him. The problem inmv has been the inept people surrounding him. Maybe he should sack the lot and start again. Do you really think the likes of sunak and his new following would be better.

The other thing that doesn't make sense is we have 400milion in cash and no debt.

The way I look at it is that we will have two pounds of our market cap in cash by Christmas. On top of that we are currently yielding five percent.Not a bad investment going forward for any new investors.inmo

Just to add. A under secretary of transport is resigning just as we may have a national rail strike. They really are vile and have no integrity or loyalty. The pm needs to sack the rest of his cabinet inmv and maybe some how bring these people to account in some way inmo and only mho.

So after creating one hell of a mess for someone else to clean up they both resign. Boris should have sacked his entire cabinet a long time ago inmv. All they have done is use Boris as an excuse for their incompetence inmo

Vulture1. Fwiw i have invested for the long term provided that they can maintain the dividend going forward .I just got my timing slightly wrong when i added to my original holding a few weeks ago.

I recently invested in persimmon due to its its dividend as well as the bod approach in terms of diversifying to counteract any slow down in the housing market. However due to the the lack of inactivity from the house broker and the laklustre approach from the bod i will not invest any more and most likely reduce .fwiw

I just hope that there is no Halloween surprise before the cheese sarnies are handed out.

Whole heartedly agree with you. For me this is now an excellent hold and to also add the dividend back.

I think the drop in comparison to the market as a whole is more to do with the Bank of England's speech yesterday evening. He basically said that the UK economy is in a worse state than most other countries and a 0-5% interest rate rise could be on the cards next month.
