Your point me are valid, but what we cannot be certain of is the profitability of the construction sector over the next 3-5 years. There is no value in SIG’s market share if they cannot drive profit out of it. Also on the CD&R front, yes they will want to see big gains, but I am fairly sure they couldn’t care less about small PIs making a decent return. The question that should be asked is ‘at what cost is the high return expected at CD&R to the small PI - after all they have already roasted the long term holders at £1.00. Yes they are sitting pretty and well done to them they have bought in........I think the recent TP figures are a dire warning to SIG holders......! Really not sure what the play is here anymore- which is a shame....
