I agree Oakhirst, anyone who has been allocated shares from their employers would know this, panic selling over nothing IMO
gkb47, you know fine well Avacta's offering is distruptive tech which if it works will turn the testing industry on its head. I've no problem with waiting a little extra time, constant moaning will not change a thing.
It's been a painful day here but fear not, over time there is good money to be made on this stock. The problem was obvious this morning with the lack of detail in the RNS. The rampers had the last laugh today selling out first thing whilst saying how good the RNS was, seen it so many times in so many stocks its amazing waht people will do for a few quid.
Finally a well balanced post. Well done Starbright
Yes Briangal27 I agree it's wise to right off the investment, they need to sell all of Hylas 3 in one go then concentrate on the backhaul market to survive which I hope they do.
Bringal27, Yes looks like they did it again! I have friends who work there they say all is good. Can only assume misrable matt is still spouting some kind of doom, whan an absolute weapon, the only poster i've ever put in the bin.
gkb47, the very reason I got into shares is because the company I work for was AIM listed and I was gifted some shares. I used to read the RNS's and the statements the CEO made and cringe, some CEO's are masters at spinning things, I firmly belive the CEO here has been hit with many delays out of his control and I actually think hes a genuine guy. All we have to do is wait some more. I agree it is frustrating but we will get there in the end. GL
Aberdeen man, Crikey wish I could see into the future like you. This is a dangerous assumption on your part. Tut Tut. "Personally, I expect a higher multiple as we will be using these LFT's for a long time, and due to the position as one of the gang of three, there will be very little competition."
Hi Thoth2, Thanks for all the great info you post. The reason why lots of new posters came about on the date you mention is because if you were not logged in to this site on that date they stopped you from reading the chat boards, you got a message you must have an account to view the chat boards. So I think many people were forced to join to read the chat who would not have otherwise joined and probably started posting. I'm not sure if LSE reversed that rule since then. Cheers
You could well be correct. I think huge amounts of money will be spent for decades to come . If im sat on a plane back from Africa which I do frequently I would want to know that everyone on that plane has had a test at the very least, and all of this covid will see very big money spent in this sector. I do hope as you assume that covid will go away over a short period but personally I don't think so. What we really need is cast iron proof of how the covid came about before any assumptions are made, as in if it did escape from a lab thats much better that it mutating between animals as if that is the case covid will be the first of many. Sadly i doubt we will ever know the truth. Logging off now have a nice weekend.
Wyndrum, because as one example, they have hundreds of thousands of people both business and tourists each year coming into and out of that country, just one country. As well as serving land locked countries such as Zambia and others via the port of Dar Es Salaam, Rich nations probababy will have a level of protection via vacinne but testing will be required for a very long period of time to avoid the spread. IMO
Sadly even if the vaccine works and protects millions of people here is one example of why testing will be needed for many decades to come. I'm as frustrated as everyone with the progress to date but it's a marathon not a sprint.
Tinpot Tanzania president says in address to his people ( I follow Tanzania as I work there but sadly won't be going back)
“You should stand firm. Vaccines are dangerous. If the White man was able to come up with vaccines, he should have found a vaccine for Aids by now; he would have found a vaccine for tuberculosis by now; he would have found a vaccine for malaria by now, and he would have found a vaccine for cancer by now.” He said Tanzanians must be war y of things that were being brought to them by foreign nations.
“Let’s not think that they love us very much. This country is rich. Africa is rich, and everyone is jealous of our vast wealth. We must be very careful,” President Magufuli said.
