1) if you skip to the table 2 on page 6, you'll see that out of 330 "true positives" (samples that were confirmed to be positive by other methods), the RTC antibody test came back negative 8 times, which is the 97.58 % sensitivity figure. So around 2.5 out of every 100 people would be told they don't have antibodies when they do.

2) Page 9 highlights that the LFTs were operated in laboratory situations, using stored plasma and not real time finger prick samples. This means these tests were performed by scientists using controlled methodology, and do not take into account kit failure dur to poor fingerprick attempts or bad use/interpretation of the LFT by general public. The report also notes that some lines were very faint. The implication is that used by untrained personnel or in an at-home situation, the sensitivity and specificity numbers would be lower.

3)ABC-19 LFT is a yes/no antibody device. It does not say how much antibodies a person has. We are a year+ into this pandemic, and there is still no agreed determination as to what having antibodies actually means. uk gov position is that having antibodies neither means you can not catch/spread covid, nor that you have already had covid.

The problem is that the main remaining rumour was that the trigger was about to be pulled "any day now" and ODX would be supplying furiously for UK gov, and some were sure they were stockpiling tests. Plus all those lovely non-gov orders for the visitect test. That's been the abiding "any day now rumour" since mid Feb.

But with news now in the public realm of repeated PD failures for the only antigen test that ODX can manufacture, there is no immient trigger pull. We are told that there will be serveral sov tests. If uk gov announces tomorrow another sov test, it does not mean thats the one the ODX will make, i.e. the surescreen test is sov but we aren't making that.

So instead of waiting for 'immient', sales orders from uk gov, we are waiting for the gov to select a test, ODX to say that this is the test that they will be making, TT it, CE it and get gov orders. Or indeed none of the above if the gov decide that all they ever wanted was ODX capacity and not actual ODX production. It's all looking decided less rosy that when we had people predicting 100Ms of revenue for year 2021 (a quarter of which is now over).

And then we have the generic visitect antigen product, that is totally bereft of sales, even though there is a narrative driven by some here that there is a massive demand for LFT worldwide. It can't possibly be anything to do with people deciding not to go near a test with a bargepole that PD has failed....is it ? You'll note that mologic/GAD has also failed to announce non-gov orders. Being a private company they are under no obligation to do so, but have announced contracts in the past.

Surescreen have received many £Ms in payments from uk gov, for LFTs

people have been rabitting on about 250 employees for months and months, and before that 140 employees since the beginning of the new year.

So tell me this, what exactly have they been producing ?, there are STILL no orders, and we now know that the PD have repeatedly failed the mologic test, so no super secret NDA.

All of those hanging onto the employee count, what are they doing ????

the public just keep on reading LFT's are crap, undermining the confidence in them. And why it is good for ODX I don't know as the only one they can supply, even PD says its useless.

Unbelievable that here we are approaching the start of July, and we haven't even started a TT process for a gov LFT.

None of which changes the fact that MIKODX was wrong when he stated the contract could not be cancelled without reason as were the 3 people that recommended his post.

It is not the sure fire £50M-£374M that many think it is, which is pertinent given it was signed in Feb, and not a single LFT has been ordered from ODX, whilst Innova contract has been renewed and Surescreen knocks them out like billyo.

He got covid (after having both vaccine doses). he started to take hay fever like symptoms. He took 2 LFTs, both negative.
He took a PCR. Following morning PCR came back positive. His condition worsened, but he did not need to go to hospital.

you clearly havn't read the contract,nor the two posts I made pointing to the exact place in the contract that allows them to cancel. It appears that the 3 people that recommended your post also have not read the contract.

I read the contract in depth when in replying to a commons question about the surescreen contract, the response was boasting that they had good get out clauses

See page 15 section 13.3.1 that confirms the gov can cancel without give any reasons. ("terminate for convenience")

See Page 65 section 6 that explains how much the gov must pay if they terminate for convenience. "Says no more than 50% of the estimated 1st quarter charges". Basically the termination payment a maximum, 1/2 of what they expected to pay in the first 3 months.

indeed, and you can not ignore the terms of the agreement which state the gov can terminate the contract without giving a reason and pay ODX pretty much nothing.

We WERE waiting for the gov picked Mologic as a sov test, or an announcement that Mologic had passed validation. So an announcement that was pro LFT by uk gov was seen as only enhancing the benefit of those pending ODX related announcement

Not sure what we are waiting on now, but whatever it is, there will be no sov test supplied by ODX for months.

the reason why surescreen hasn't been adopted may simply be down to surescreen not being prepared to allow others to make their test. They own the Ip, they are a manufacturer. They know they are in a position of advantage as their test was passed, and as the only uk test passed, if the gov wanted to be seen to use uk suppliers, it had to be them.

Because there is still a process to go thru that ODX has to learn how to make whoever's test it is. That requires engagement with the company that developed the test. It is also clearly the case that not every LFT is the same, so ODX needs to know they have the techincal wherewithall and also the exact correct equipment, to allow the test to be transferred and then manufactured.

It does say a "select number", that number could be 1.

Read from that
1) Neither UK gov nor ODX thinks the mologic test is ever going to pass the required validation.
2) ODX are just at the chatting stage.
3) It was 9th June 2020 that ODX came to terms with Mologic that they would transfer the antigen test to ODX.
4) The actual TT process began in Nov 2020 and was completed end of April 2021.

Based on the above, I'll let everyone come to their own conclusion as to how long it might be before ODX is in position to supply a test to the Gov, if it still needs one.
