It appears some are uncomfortable being reminded of the truth, even when it relates to CK saying they employee agency staff.

Take it up with the FDA, it's their statement. And take it up with ODX, its their decision to go with professional use for which they are still waiting for approval.

So there are 10 home use tests authorised by the FDA, which will fulfil a demand of up to 200M units a month.

Mologic/visitect submission to the FDA is for EUA for professional use, not home use

some staff (but we do not know how many or how few) have been confirmed by CK to be agency staff, so likely on a zero hrs basis.

The thing is, it is often impossible to put the finger on an exact single cause of death, often there are multiple issue. Covid is not different in this respect. This is why it is not easy to say someone died exclusively because of covid.

But at least keeping it consistent and sticking with "With" means that a fall is a real fall based on the metric that has always been used.

The suggestion is that because they haven't said anything, something must be happening. Surely it is more logical to suggest they haven't said anything because there is nothing to say ?

You either take the article as right or wrong. Personally I think china is just a constant source of misinformation, so have they really locked down, is it really for covid or is it just another snap control of the population. If you doubt the figures, you need to doubt the whole premis of the article.

bidstats seems a place full of timeline manipulations.
That fortress contract was published today, but the date on it says published 13th oct, and the date the contract closed is august of last year , with delivery happening during that month.

In the whole time monitoring bidstat, we've either seen contract values, or units of tests, but never both.

Today on bidstat there is a 200K contract for orientgene fortress test, with a contract value of approx £1.5M.
So £7.50 a test.

It's orders we are waiting on. According to most on here, the visitect test can be sold today in the uk, hence why all the frustration of no indication of a uk distributor or a single identified outlet selling visitect (you can be sure hrs have been spent by many doing internet searches). I asked several times as whether the visitect test can actually legally be sold in the uk today, and no one on here has been able to point to any doc that suggests it can.

And as for government orders for home use, yes that does required approval. However one does not automatically follow the other. The exact wording from ODX on the matter is: "We are also mindful that once we have self-test approval the VISITECT COVID-19 Antigen test would potentially be available for future DHSC purchase as a UK-developed and UK-made rapid point-of-care test for active COVID-19. "

"Potentially be available". ODX is not drawing a line between HUA and being selected by the government as a test for manufacture. So don't let anyone tell you home use definitely means they'll be making it for uk gov, ODX says it becomes available for selection.

worth noting that those that ramped the shi*e out of the 22nd oct being a massive day for odx have gone missing today.

To be fair to ODX, they can not be blamed for whipping up a lather or hyping up expectation building up to today's big gov "laise faire" lft website. No, that was entirely down to the usual suspects here and twitter, when there really was no indication that there would be an immediate benefit to ODX. ODX would have announced a UK distribution deal if their tests were going to be sold by retailers.

However, I'm wondering where all the chat about the great pending antibody sales went to, which was driven by ODX communications, in fact no less than CK himself who said in mid July:-

""In terms of near term demand there are probably 3 countries where we are just waiting on final registrations to go through, once they're complete, there is the expectation that the demand will come and it will be significant demand as well from these countries from what we have been led to believe. And hence why keiran alluded to in terms of those covid reviews for rtc early on in the presentation, 60% obviously went to the gov but there was 40% that has been manufactured, and we have obviously continued to manufacture in quarter 1 that we've sold to abingdon and there is expectation that those tests will be used in the very near term."

A month after that, Abingdon put out via an RNS "The Company has not seen significant commercial traction with the AbC-19(TM) product to date but remains encouraged by the ongoing discussions in various overseas territories..."

And here we are, staring into November, a full 3 months after that "used in the very near term", and not so much as an announcement of even one of those countries completing "final registration" never mind the signing of a sales deal.

Its these constant, constant failed timelines that sow doubt into anything the company says. Here we are, less than 50 shopping days before christmas, AND NOT A SINGLE ANNOUNCED COVID LFT PURCHASE ORDER IN ALL OF 2021.
