RE: Exxon Chad16 Jun 2022 11:33
Thanks Zengas, good to see that 01 July 2022 seems to be the official exit date touted, my gut feeling is that the deal will be completed and not worried at all. My reasons below:
1) seems like the offer is of $15m dollars so a difference of $15m dollars is the negotiation point, my gut feeling says that they will pay either full price of close enough as longshort says below. Far down the road for this deal to be terminated as the work to undo this all is far greater than closing the deal, secondly i remember andrew saying all things from savannah side are complete so it seems like if exxon really want to exit they will pay up or basically terminate the deal which looks incredibly unlikely at this stage......
2) the renewable energy deals in chad signed demonstrate that the chad ministry has accepted the fact that savannah will be the operator driving this assets going forward and i am sure savannah would have discussed there plas for doba alongside signing the renewable deals, savannah would have promised an increased work programme to generate value from the doba fields.
looks like its a simple game of poker to see who folds their cards for the 1st July 2022 exit date which is inevitable. So we are likely to get news come first week of July.
