I think youre spot on with your last point though, and I'm beginning to wonder if the extra time to announce a distribution deal (above initial expectations) is because wider strategic options might be being discussed.

But I guess the who guidelines are key even if they are only guidelines. I think they also recommend that all baby boomers are tested for hcv which would be a lot of test kits. Probably too much to hope that they gave you some idea of when they might make an announcement!

Hope so! Not sure I entirely agree Grim with your previous comments. Whilst new disease tests could and probably will be developed the purchasers of a $4000 diagnostics machine can't assume that they will. Even if they do, the machine they buy now might be obsolete and superceded by that time. I think they will have to make the call on hcv and possibly tb tests only. Hence price, accuracy, specificity, and time to results will be the major factors. And maybe a world leading distributor to give genedrive the edge! Look forward to more clarity soon.

Reference the orasure test cost at £12 to £15 each. Genedrive say $30 to $40 each for theirs. So on that basis it will come down to whether the additional accuracy of genedrive can carry the extra cost.

Orasure tech Inc is a leader in hCv point of care testing. Recent q2 results show more than 130% growth in sales of this product. Recent cantor presentation indicates that many governments are now considering broad hcv testing programmes because Gilead have allowed generic licensing of hcv treatment reducing costs outside of the US to less than $1000 for a course that cures in over 90% of cases. Broad testing programmes are a key growth driver for the company. Orasure's product is 98% accurate and delivers results in 20 mins. So for me, the market backdrop is really exciting but main question is whether anybody is going to buy genedrive over orasure. I don't have details on test kits costs so I guess this will be a key factor. Encouraging though.

That number of shares is over 1% of the issued share capital so if this is a large holder with over 3% of issued shares in total pre this sale then they will need to disclose and we then know who they are. Might be of some interest

Have a look at the interview with David budd on proactiveinvestors.co.uk . 70m to 90m people with hcv and only 20% diagnosed. So maybe 60m people undiagnosed globally. Drugs companies who have developed the low cost drugs for hep c will really want to see this solution implemented. $4000 per unit and $30 to $40 per test. Assume 1m new cases per year and extra tests to work through he backlog. Could be $100m of annual sales there. Assume a 10% royalty for gdr and put it on 2x sales valuation. That's a conservative £8m mkt cap with nothing else in for any other opportunities. States 2 weeks until announcement of distribution partners. Maybe more details on commercial terms as well. Commercial sales by q4 2017 or q1 2018. This should have 20% to 30% short term upside in my view.

Well, we'll see on those trades ctw. No news on hcv yet might (optimistically) be down to an August shut down at the CE offices for summer and a backlog to work through now. Another 4 to 5 weeks and there really are no more excuses. Saying that if there were problems with the application it would have been rejected by now I suspect.

33p makes it look like a sell doesn't it. All other buys recently around 35p. Which ever way, slight surprise to see no share price movement.

Haven't been on this board for a while and don't know why I bother as no one else seems to follow this stock. Recent news of securing a large new customer agreement which has significant scale ability to it got a c 1p uplift from the market maker. With this customer iñ the bag and SAIL gradually sorting it's problems out I am confident that sales gas in the coming year will be materially higher than the 8 mmcfd last reported. Geec may even be selling all their available gas. This is really significant and has barely moved an already depressed share price and cheap stock. I'm bemused! If there is anyone who is prepared to have a look and offer some insights that would be great.

I take your point ctw. The bid has not moved though and still at 32p which is a 20% drop over a week or two. Small trades have been going through every week for months and not had this level of impact. However I know that I don't know what is going on here. Agree with you that if we get the ce approval for hcv then share price should move up strongly. Getting tired of waiting though!

Would be helpful if there is no reason for the price fall. Wishful thinking though I would expect!

I guess there maye be a large seller and the market maker is dropping the price to find a level where the order can be filled. What does that seller know? Worrying!
