Governments are targeting hep c now that there are cheap and highly effective drugs available so sales of devices and assays will be through government sponsored programmes I'd imagine albeit that it might be ngo s or charities that are the infrastructure to get the tests administered in some cases. Units are price at $4000 with each test around $25, so it's full market commercial pricing. That's the plan at least. Gdr need to prove that they can make those assumptions though!

Market makers dropping the bid again to 25p. Either there is a sizeable seller who just wants to get out and we are going through a painful price discovery exercise to find a level for significant buying interest or someone knows that hep c tests are not selling through Sysmex channels very well. My guess is the former but if it transpires it's the latter holders are in for a rough time!

My view to answer your questions Jimzi is that the the past financials do not reflect the potential of the company. The last few years has been largely unfunded research and development hence the losses. They are not currently commercialising anything from that process yet. If they do (and the outlook is good for hep c testing) then the financials will swing to a high GP business with outsourced manufacturing and distribution. Genedrive have further and huge potential in TB testing but I wouldn't focus on that for now. It's all about hep c for the short term. Commercial traction is expected in q1 this calendar year as per management comments last year. The challenge for anyone assessing gdr as a potential investment is understanding how the genedrive unit and assay compare to other options available. If you can get comfortable that it is a market leader then the current market cap is very conservative in my view

To all. Nothing insightful to add here. Share price under pressure as this seller continues and no buyers to be seen. What we need is a big buyer to soak up whatever this seller has left to stop the market makers continually dropping this one. An upbeat rns with early commercial orders would help a lot in achieving that. Here's to 2018 as the turn around year!

Another £100k or so worth. My mistake before as this and previous purchase are the unlisted ordinary stock not the gdr we can trade here. Again trade done at 36p implied per gdr according to the statement which is an incredible price. I don't know who owns ordinary stock and who wants out but management very happy to oblige at that level. Just want to know how I can get my hands on some!

Many thanks for the link to research there ctw. Bit depressed by their forecasts. No commitment on valuation either although given the time to significant ramp in sales (in post 2020) and the slightly troubling build up of debt over this period I think we're lucky to still be holding on to the ev/sales that we have. Possibly this reflects the potential of the company but it's going to be a long old wait. Hope these forecasts are conservative as I was working on a quicker ramp than this. Not much Christmas cheer in that read for me! Still, I very much appreciate you sharing the link. Fingers crossed for a forecast shifting positive trading update in January. Merry Christmas to all.

It's only a small amount of around 90k quid but still good to see. Only possible downside is that much of the recent buying may well have been them and not new investors. Still, price has been on a great run and small purchases are pushing it up higher so still a tight market. Still cheap in my view! Anyone else on this board?

Makes a nice contribution to running costs ctw! Be good to know if anyone on this board has found any expert opinion on genedrive hcv tests and portable device post the European approval. Fairly sure that Sysmex would not have signed 2 distribution deals had they not been very confident but then again they don't have a lot of skin in the game if it doesn't sell as they haven't incurred any costs. Which reminds me that Id still like to know why genedrive retained manufacturing risk in these distribution deals. They must be damn sure this stuff is going to sell!

Good move over the last month in the share price, up over 20%. Not sure that there is any specific reason other than company is now selling over 15 mmcfd of gas and that will generate decent earnings and cash at current $10 price for the gas. If the company just run the business for cash now for the next couple of years without investing further in drilling new Wells then I think the debt will be virtually all paid back. Equity then massively derisked. Still on £50m market cap so loads of upside if the compay continue to execute.

No cash down the back of the sofa unfortunately ctw. May look elsewhere as genedrive is lining up all the green lights now bit by bit. Impressive CV for the new COO would be a nice validation of the potential so keeping a look out for that one.

Two more trades at 36.9p so maybe the overhang has largely gone now. Will check down the back of the sofa for some funds, see if I can't nudge this up a little with another purchase!

Very much agree with your comments ctw on clearing the way for a new partner being a positive. Suspect though that issues with the kit and then new marketing arrangements will take at least a year to sort out and who knows when revenues will actually flow. 2 years maybe? Not sure you're right on the big trade today though. Looks like a sell to me. Well below yesterday's bid and pretty close to today's. I didn't get a chance to check with my broker the level I would have to pay to buy stock so I can't be sure, but 35.5p seems too close to the bid to buy even for genedrive

H1 update. Very little new detail. Production still growing well and big jump in sales gas to nearly 15 mmcfd. Having to hold back some gas for SAIL I guess even though they won't take it. Management not confident enough to give any guidance though still. Disappointed with the profit performance. Another long wait for the next update!

Tried to listen to the conference call but microphones not working too well, missed a lot of what was said. Hcv and tb are only real disease areas of focus. Hiv and malaria are being assessed but have challenges. Tb will not be sorted near term and some repositioning needed to look more globally and not just India. (More regulatory clearances and distribution partner negotiations ). Also looks like biohazard opportunity only looks interesting if dod decide to commercialise solutions. But may have misheard that! Launch of hcv in Africa officially in 5 days time but roll out across region will be phased and gradual. Still optimistic on this one but it's going to be a long haul I suspect.

Way off the radar but also maybe scepticism on sales volumes for hcv. Statement says next few months for commercial traction so I guess the share price will move up as proof of demand becomes visible. Slow burner this one!

So we now have the deal. Slight surprise to see manufacTuring risk kept in house. All priced in already though it seems.

Someone's just unloaded a block worth over 3% of the issued share capital. Either crossed or lse has entered it twice. More overhang removed. All that's needed now is a confirmation in the November results statement of 20 mmcfd sales gas run rate.
