There's a little way to go before SML need to raise to start production, they are likely to get some bid interest before then. Let's concentrate on the nearer term stuff, not something likely to be a couple of years away yet.

Good post and sums it up at the moment with regard NCI, however I would like to hear more about their other work and how that is progressing, if they are able to get in more high margin work, from bigger clients then that will be a positive. Again with DR5 there will be periods of silence, but that looks to be a real potential blockbuster for FAB and QUB.

I suspect that the NCI deal will be announced just before the NIH's end of year in September, that we could get a DR5 update around that time and will get the Final Results in the next 6-8weeks. In the meantime the MMs will now look for sellers lower down, to close off their short positions from last week.

What it needs is patience, PIs on BBs need to let the Company do the work it is diligently going about. PIs will reap the rewards at that point, many here want a quick spike to trade, it would seem. That doesn't help the majority of investors, as the share moves up and down on the whim of a few traders.

The candlestick from yesterday and the RNS after hours leaves this looking good for a rise from here, as always though it needs the momentum to continue.

This isn't like some other stocks where we are waiting for a drilling campaign or have specific timelines to watch, this stock is one where we will wake up one morning to an RNS which will see an immediate re-rate and one that will be hard to jump on until it has settled higher.

This is the hardest of holds, but one that can be the most rewarding.

Guys, calm down! Companies have to issue Total voting rights RNSs at set points.

FAB will be one of many doing that today, as are those that publish on 31st December.

I know everyone is desperate for news, but this is part of running an AIM company and keeping up with the book-keeping.

Well on googling it there are lots of newsfeeds stating that they raised that amount less than a fortnight ago, not sure how everyone here missed that?

It would be great news if it is sealed soon. Gives us a bit of cash and allows us to concentrate on Redmoor, whilst still retaining an equity and royalty stake.

Like everything in life guzzler....I've posted the charts and people can make up their own view.

I have posted some charts on another BB, we currently seem to be drifting down, mainly led by the MMs who can tough it out knowing the buying stops and sellers will continue to drip sells in to cover their positions. It is the Summer and investors go away, switch off, become obsessive sports fans and generally not look to invest much. As everyone waits for big ticket RNSs (which may still be a way yet), we seem to be ignoring the smaller stuff, Patents and the DR5 update in the last fortnight are really positive moves, DR5 could eventually be a huge cash cow. As always in medical though, utmost patience is required, things always take longer than PIs want (I think that is the same with all companies and PIs expectations, but in medical it's even longer still). However the rewards are high when it does come off!

Will be interesting to see what happens from here, the chart suggests we are on a support line and so we either bounce or breakdown from here.

Which is wrong because some days it rises and others it stays the same, so your fact is fiction...

That resolution is run of the mill and is there to save on costs for a fundraise and allow the BoD more flexibility and speed. It is quite cumbersome to have a shareholder vote every time they want to raise and any delays can see the price driven downwards. I have no problem in voting yes to that resolution.

Actually the RNS states there were large costs for their actions against the BoD and that they are having to cut costs to cover that. It then adds lots of fluffy waffle to try and keep the market on the hook and uses that to mask the fact that PS is indeed leaving...

You are basing everything on no news since launch and nothing to do with the science. If you knew anything about the science and therefore scientists you would know there will be periods of time where the data is crunched and then a publication in a peer reviewed journal, however if there have been discoveries, then nothing is going to get published until that IP is secured.

Normal time between end of a clinical trial and peer reviewed publication is well over a year...There wasn't a clinical trail here as such, but we know there have been discoveries that NCI need to secure before telling the World about them.

Not sure if that is correct, I think the confusion is there is a rule that a buyer would have to offer the highest price they paid in the last year (if indeed they had already bought some shares in the stock in the last year).

A new buyer can offer what they want and it would be up to shareholders to vote to accept or reject that offer.

What has that got to do with whether I believe buying shares is gambling???

How well would you have done buying just before the MRE came to fruition? (maybe some here did, hence the negative posts now)....Those that bought between 0.25p and 0.5p did far better by investing for a longer time period.

Buying just before fruition is nonsense as with most shares PIs do not know when fruition will occur and the RNS comes out at 7am. When sitting on the sidelines it becomes very easy to miss that RNS and then convince yourself it wasn't something you were interested in anyway as the SP moves away from your buy in target. You miss out and have wasted that time.

Perhaps they are waiting for NCI to update first, there are two strings to this, the deal to use OptiMAL (still ongoing and someone here mentioned the end of year for NIH is September?? I suspect they would want to get it signed before then).

NCI publications of work already done (the validation), this will take time as they are working on protecting the IP they have developed using OptiMAL.

Rules for anything medical, double your expected timeline and add a couple more months, they have a process and scientists/clinicians take their time going through it, to make sure everything is correct.

There are other things, current work/order book, DR5 extension and final outcomes, building on their bread anbd butter antibody work with new and bigger clients.

If I have invested here for the SP to go up and it drops, I haven't lost the lot, if I gamble on a horse to win and it doesn't I lose the lot.

How are they similar???

Most people gamble for a short term (finite) event, others invest for a much longer period of time knowing their hard earned money can increase in value over the period of the investment, especially when the end goal comes in.

Gamble short term binary bet, investment longer term to allow for fruition.

I suppose it is hard to hold when you are in the red, but you seem to have invested on a ramp by Tungsten Investor and seem to be chasing lots of dreams. After decades of investing in AIM shares, I can confirm that unless you are day trading and watching it all the time and have a really good trading strategy, you will not get the majority of the moves right and therefore will lose cash. Yes you will have good winners but in my experience that just leads to greedy purchases elsewhere that can then wipe out the gains. DYOR (continually) and be prepared to wait, because this is the best way to really get substantial winners.

Good Luck with your investments elsewhere, I am happy to hold some here but do so, having invested at lower levels and although have a few extra buys under water, believe that we will see significant gains as those big news items hit the horizon.

I sold 410000 (but kept a few to keep eye on) having to take a loss. Reason I got out is that a watched for last 3 months and unfortunately I believe the sp will drift between 4.5 and 5.2. I don't believe much is going to happen to boost sp between now and Christmas. Hence exit and into AFP where I definitely am seeing things moving in the next 1/3/6 months. I make this post simply for information; others may have strongly different feelings."
