The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Eh? Could we have that again in English please? ;-)
Based on previous drilling timeframes, I'm not expecting anything until late Sept at the earliest, more probable early October, we have got deeper targets this time though so could even be longer. As to how far they've got so far, there are probably others on here with better knowledge of how fast the rigs can drill in this area,m who may have a more accurate guestimate.

Some good, interesting and well balanced posts on here today. Overall, I would consider what's been covered today isn't far off the mark. From what I've read from the info available, lootgaloot has pretty much hit the nail on the head. Cheers guys.
Far more gracefully put than my fat fingered, typo error riddled message joeman, but yes I have to keep reminding myself about the bigger picture for copper, I just have occasional days of feeling doom and gloom and today is one, hence my little rant :-)
It looks like copper is retracing from its highs earlier this year. The Chinese are now looking st reopening their Afghan mine (2nd largest in workd), so may not be as interested in buying into mines elsewhere. Everything looked rosy at the turn if the year, I was the most optimistic I've ever been with arcm but since then I've become disillusioned again here. Hopefully drill results will rekindle the flame, but my expectations of what we may now sell for have significantly reduced. Here's hoping we come good.
Good appointment, has extensive knowledge and experience in the area. Also positive news from zambia with Lungu being toppled.
Hopefully should get one this week. With some decent grades, you never know, even the aussies may take it positive for a change.
The casa notes are not included in the cash equivalents. So, hopefully soon we'll have the $5.3m currently in the bank plus the casa payment, and maybe news to boot.
Don't suppose you could flick to the index and see what constitutes cash equivalents for us before you go on holiday lol
Yes I suppose there's no requirement for them to divulge further into what constitutes the cash equivalents. Would be nice to have some clarity on the casa situation, the optimist in me wants to believe it will happen, but the realist in me pours doubt over it.
I've noticed there's been a persistent/consistent seller in the background since the 'material news' rns. Selling in 100k, 200k, 300k blocks, thouht I was being paranoid at first, but definitely there. Next assays should be in a couple of weeks, fingers crossed for decent grades to get this heading in the right direction again. Seems most of my miners have taken a beating recently.
Well the casa loan note could well fall into that definition...
I suppose there could be a potential for the casa loan note to be classed as commercial paper and thus be included in the cash position but.....and it's a big but....this is all pure speculation on Ella's part until it is clarified with the company. I cannot understand why you haven't communicated with them all of your concerns ( some of which are actually justified) and see if they answer. I'm sure the majority on here would be as eager as yourself to find out their response, I certainly would be. ATB
I just can't help thinking that they overdid it with the suspension and 'material news' rns. To me it 34m doesn't seem to be too out of the ordinary, now if it was 34m of 5% or more grades then fair enough. Also today's rns, whilst is positive, probably shouldn't have headlined with the 9%. Just feel like the mkts are a little sceptical at present. Not wanting to sound like a spoil sport but its just my gut feeling. Personally i'm happy with todays rns, hopefully with each drill result, it can firm up the asset being economically viable.
I suppose once we get the the assay results from first holes, we will only have a week before we get the results from the 34m holes etc.
Still think they could have waited and reported the drill results with the first assay results in one rns. I get the feeling they overdid it with the 'material significant news to be released shortly' last rns, feel like the market didn't really think it was that significant.
Hopefully the assays will come in at a decent % and it will be justified.
Every scenario, whether it be the good, the bad or the ugly, has been covered and covered again thus far. So really nothing left to talk about until we hear further from the company.
The peace and quiet on here is rather nice, makes a change from having to scroll through the inane ramblings of the 'ramping rabbits', 'doom and gloomers' and the 'downright dimwitted'
No tom111, unfortunately missed out on zphr. So many opportunities but sadly only so much cash resources to play with. Was kind of hoping the mega deal with AA back in Jan was going to give me the funds to invest in half a dozen other plays before they started climbing, instead I find myself watching them rise and we stagnate for while. No doubt zphr was one....ah the law of sod
Great minds and all that......I hope. I was very close to getting into xtr but dawdled and missed the big rise and unds all tied up now. I'm hoping we get some update this week here, drill start, assays results, airbornes completed....just something to stop the drop, fingers crossed.
Agree, was hoping the AA deal was going to make this my 'dog' of a share for the past 13 yrs into my 'star' share. 1st qtr of this year I concentrated my holdings into 3 copper plays ARCM, CCZ and CRMS and out of those 3, I was the most confident in arcm being the 'biggie'......just proves how the mkts can play with your mind.
Still positive here though, interesting few weeks ahead
