Lol! Obviously there are already regulations Regulator. The point is they are trying to get an EU standard which will then enable a common EU adoption of standards and approvals. Probably easier said than done. Looks to me that where France and Germany goes, everyone goes. Not necessarily the case for some other countries. Poland approved GDR last year. So far other EU countries haven't for example. Interesting that Germany haven't yet approved Innova.

Just checked the BRK website. Mologic is there as a CE marked test. Still awaiting PEI assessment. BRK may have jumped the gun or they know something we don't know. They are obviously keen to be visible as the Mologic distributor. I guess we watch and wait.

We've all been following this closely and I have a lot of information in my files which clearly shows how the goalposts have been moved to suit the Innova buy and equally shows that Mologic have several independent evaluations demonstrating that they met the original MHRA specification. So I'll go with that. If you decide you want to share anything anonymously you know where I am.

After a 3 day 'review '. Which also lacked any transparency. It contained 2 paragraphs. No data. But you are acknowledging that Porton Down messed up and everyone knows it. So the DHSC are covering up aren't they?

I know that. It's the DHSC that carried out the review of the Innova test after the FDA recall. Your employer. Two paragraphs of patronising nonsense. Like we're in an authoritarian country. 'We have carried out a review and we can reassure the public that everything has been done properly'- I'm paraphrasing but it was along those lines. But as you've just acknowledged it wasn't done properly. From the start the test was given emergency authorisation without meeting the MHRA specification. Then they changed the specification so we can't even see what it is- 'very good' is not an objective yardstick. Then we discover it was bought through a very dodgy procurement process involving Jim Bethell having meetings with Innova which weren't recorded in any way. For £2-3 billion worth of contracts! Apparently due to a DHSC 'oversight' according to Ministers and the DHSC. Shambles.

Regulator, As you say it's an open secret that Porton Down have messed up. The Times have covered it and Mologic's CEO has threatened to sue. Mologic now has the credibility of a buy out from the Soros/Gates outfit and is under evaluation at WHO and with the FDA. As you say any credible authority would respond seriously to the FDA's recall. Don't think anyone can say that's what your employers have done. With their 48 hour 'review' which told us nothing other than two lines of reassurance. No data. No comment on Innova's plagurism and misrepresentation. Extraordinary. You could do your civic duty? Don't think any lths would disagree with any of your comments there Regulator. Do you have any idea how on earth Porton Down got themselves into this mess? And why, oh why are the DHSC continuing to back Innova? I am not exactly one to cry 'corruption ' at the first sign of a set back and the UK does enjoy the service of the highly regarded NAO so I am always doubtful that anyone would dare to make a wrong move regarding public funds and backhanders. But now that we know that all Bethell 's meetings with Innova were off the radar and there was a fixer engaged to introduce them, it makes you wonder. And no transparency regarding the so-called review?

The whole market is down today. The government have managed to mess up freedom day already with the pilot that they are not participating in anymore debacle. They will pick it up once this row has calmed down. Test to release is coming.
In the meantime these are rock bottom prices available to us courtesy of worldwide concern about the Delta variant, inflation, and the possibility that the recovery may take its time.
The Mologic news is great news for ODX investors. It means we will get WHO approval because the price is right for poorer countries and it's a very good test. The Gates and Soros endorsement will get attention worldwide. Once the WHO approve Mologic the EU will follow. EU guidance is still developing (as is ours). But it recognises the WHO as the authoritative voice on validation. The WHO will also influence the FDA and the MHRA. Not long now. Things are lining up nicely for us. Hold or buy.

It was discussed at the Public Accounts Committee meeting on July 8th. There's a record of the meeting on the parliamentary site and the recording is also still there- previously shared, on my phone now and going to bed.
Dido Harding was asked by Meg Hillier, the PAC chair, about the £220 million pound underspend for antibody tests and explained that there was a £1.7 billion underspend for tests which had all been transferred to this year's budget. The underspend was because the 2nd lockdown meant less tests were needed. Jenny Harries, the new lead for test and trace, said that antibody tests would come into their own with a more vaccinated population because we need to assess immunity and how long it lasts. The £220 million contract has been withdrawn and reissued this week in the meantime.
