All testing firms must be based in the UK, registered in the UK, the IP must be UK registered and the whole supply chain must be based in the UK. At last a commitment to UK diagnostics as promised over a year ago. We should see that announcement to confirm this commitment any time now. Agreements with approved testing firms, approvals, drawdown of the contract for £374 million should start landing now.

Let's focus on the big prize. Bethel has advised the House of Lords only yesterday, that he expects to have news to demonstrate the innovative, strong and resilient UK diagnostics industry that they have built up over the last year. The UK is doing 1 million lfts a day and it will need testing at scale for years to come. The government wants to clean up the PCR market and the Competitions and Market Authority has prioritised this urgently. Which will thin down the market associated with aviation. The airport bosses at Heathrow and Gatwick are calling for higher quality lfts to play more of a role in this space.
ODX have a contract waiting for up to £374 million and have been working towards agreement with the providers of lfts approved by the MHRA already. ODX are also in the PCR market with a high quality test.
Mologic are in the US fast track NiH programme supported by a multi million sponsorship to achieve FDA approval. ODX have applied for self test approval in the EU and several countries are lined up to buy ABC19 antibody lfts. We are in bargain basement territory now that the trolls have had their time in the sun. Sun's down on them. I can never resist a bargain myself!

The US National Health (NiH) service paid the £11 million fee to sponsor them through the fast tack registration programme for a self test. It'll be one of the first home use self tests for lft. It'll be amongst the first movers in the world. Testing is going to be an absolute pre-requisite of the international response to the pandemic over the next few years.
