So tomorrow we should find out how we're doing with our ENB, UKCTA FDA approvals. If ODX are able to demonstrate confidence that they are close this sp is entirely irrelevant- except as an opportunity for buyers.
Someone on Twitter got a bit carried away with a standard from the EU suggesting the ENB could take 6 weeks. It wasn't specific to lateral flow tests. If you scrutinise the applications for cv19 tests there were a few big pharmas that got tests through in weeks last year. Some have since had EUAs removed especially in the US. As the market has got a bit more crowded it's turned into more like 3 months or a bit longer. Nightmare for us long suffering investors. The UKCTA has added to the bureaucracy.
Luckily ODX got in before other UK diagnostics with our lft application. They had a test ready first.
Bizarrely because of the UKCTA requirement for everyone, we are now in line for one of the first, if not the first UK produced lateral flow rapid self tests.
Today is 12 weeks since our ENB application. It could come any day. Your call guys and gals. Give up at the final hurdle or hold for the proverbial gold. I'm staying. 100% in. GLA.

All very exciting. So onshoring for UK diagnostics is off and running then! Up to £374 million contract for the DHSC coming into clear view. Better late than never.

Yep demand is very high subject to approvals. If we get there first we'll be first to the market with lft self tests for international travel. Tens of millions for starters. It's all to play for.

Twatty, none of Abingdon's issues apply to ODX. ODX do not have a dispute with the DHSC. On the contrary, they have an agreement to supply the DHSC with a contract for public health settings. The contract is generic and does not require an ODX test necessarily. Sir John Bell advised the public on the 'Today' programme, radio 4, just 10 days ago, that manufacturing for UK tests was being brought onshore and that a UK firm is now progressing through MHRA.
Regarding commercial sales the new Medical Devices Regulations 2021 requires a new desk top assessment for all tests before they can hit the market. Bit of a pain. But it also presents a completely level playing field for ODX vs big and smaller firms. The European Notified Body authorisation will hold some advantage if we are the first to achieve it, for obtaining UKCTA. There are no self tests o on the UKCTA list yet. We could be the first. That's why Twatty is nervous. He ain't closed his short. Suppose that's why he's here all day, trying to find a chink in my posts. Saddo. Reckless saddo.

None of Abingdon's issues apply to ODX plans going forward. Though the aspiration for 100 million production of lfts is interesting. ODX are still ahead of the field of UK diagnostics for lft approval in the UK, US and the EU. Now towards the end of week 10 with the ENB process. Not long to go. With the flurry of activities at Alva and new recruitment taking place with urgent starts going through the DHSC it looks very positive for news in time for the trading update next week. I am buying today. GLA.

Agree with everything you said Pacman. If the presentation is forward looking and Budd tells us anything about early results for the forthcoming POC, we might have a very good end to the week. GDR are close to 100% sensitivity and 100% specificity on their PCR kit. BC will be under pressure from their shareholders to make something count from this partnership.
I am buying this week. Don't see that we can lose from here.

Have to say Budd is in his own little 'johari window' with those comments on his surprise that the PCR wouldn't sell without approval. Deary me.
On the bright side of the road, GDR make highly accurate tests. If the POC is as good as the PCR and even priced more competitively then this could be a displacement product for PCR. Let's hope that BC and GDR really have learned their lessons and get this right.
