Hope they handle the launch for the RTC with a bit more confidence than the NHS app. Most of the papers focused on it's lateness. The Guardian are already predicting a low take up rate on the first day of it's launch! I feel like reviewing my subscription. But I won't because that would be petty and mean. Lol.

Hey Freddie, well you and me both. But I thought Johnson is giving us his game plan all the time. Remains to be seen whether they will achieve it but they are the government. They have an awful lot of money and power. It's probably all we have right now- mass testing and the role of antibody tests is becoming ever more significant.

Interesting Johnson's response to Starmer's criticism about testing today. He said that the testing program now enabled 'granular details ' of where the virus was, and how fast it's spreading. Not convinced that is really where we are right now but I do think that's where they want us to go :)

We all know that there are new companies now making reagents- AVCT and FAB. But they aren't onstream yet. The representative body for existing manufacturers is representing it's members. The representative body for existing manufacturers made the claim. They are also obviously talking about lab based tests when we have poc tests coming out. As investors we have to learn to distinguish the noise from relevant facts
The Guardian is a good paper. They aren't always on top of every story. They follow leads and don't always bottom things out. We've had it before when they leaked Johnathan Leak ****ging off the RTC saying the ABC isn't validated when it is (when when we all knew he had his own interest in developing an antibody test at Birmingham University- which he failed to disclose to the Guardian).

Mizman, Read the article. The DHSC say they are absolutely on track for 500,000 tests a day. My guess is that they are intending to distribute plenty of antibody pocs and antigen pocs in the mix by the end of October which won't need so much of the reagents. And there are a couple of new firms which manufacture reagents still to come on stream. AVCT is down too today if that was an issue- not explaining the pressure on the sp.
The market is in a complete state. Waking up to a recession coming with high levels of unemployment. Maybe some pi's feel they can't wait for it to bounce back in the next day or so when the launch of the NHS app puts a massive torchlight on the feasibility of mass testing.
Bad news on the economic front makes us all lose confidence. But we don't stay down for long. Market makers are having a laugh. On level 2 it looks like they are making 3p on every sell atm.
They know very well this is going up in the near term- like a rocket.

Mikodox, no-one's misinforming except you. At no time has anyone suggested that the MHS app is the RTC app. The RTC app will however help with test and tracing if you look at its functionality.

Correction. 4. ODX are refocusing a line of business generating £8 million instead to extend their cv19 tests. They maintain their commitment to HIV and food allergy tests.

It can get stressful when there are gaps in the newsflow, to hold. It's good to think about the fundamentals of our investment.
1. 5 new generation tests being readied for a mass testing program.
2. 2 new generation tests CE marked and 1 has completed trials at Heathrow.
3. The RTC antibody test is now ready and being manufactured. Sales teams are being recruited. A government MOU has been agreed with government investment already received and deployed.
4. ODX have abandoned a profitable line of business to focus entirely on meeting demand for cv19 diagnostics.
5. Fundraising has been and gone and has been spent expanding facilities and production lines to enable capacity for 100 million tests a year.
6. There is a pandemic and the government are planning to test 500,000 people a day from the end of October and potentially at least 1 million a day.
6. We are now expecting MHRA approval. Yesterday the MHRA issued a specification for antibody tests which the RTC and Mologic antibody tests exceed.
7. Price if tests are indicated for a price range of £1.50-£5.00, not including tests sold directly to consumers which are expected to retail for £13.00.

Shareinthis, the app could be kicked off for a trial period of course. We don't know. As Regulator says, it has already been extensively trialled on the Isle of Wight. But yeah sure they will roll it out in stages with a level of monitoring as they go. That would be my guess as an ex management consultant. The point is it will draw a lot of media attention to the mass testing strategy and the RTC's app will be linking into that at some point.
We don't know if MHRA approval will come before our app is ready or whether the orders for test kit will be announced on the same day. It may well be that the bureaucratic process (MHRA) is held back until the test kit is ready to go out of the door. Mass testing is now the number 1 political issue. They want to get it right don't they?
So some relevant factors are in the public domain. And some won't be- and those are for us to assess for our investment decisions.

For new investors information. Mikodox told us all yesterday he'd sold and has subsequently been posting lots of confusing posts. When he gets called out for his behaviour he starts a lot of silly name calling.
For the record ODX are part of a government backed consortium. They have an MOU agreement with the government to produce and supply 100,000 antibody tests for the month of September rising to 200,000 for October. Additional capacity is available but that would be subject to a development of the agreement and it's extremely likely, a higher price.
Updates for the MHRA approval, the government order and other progress on another 4 new generation tests ODX are in partnership with Mologic for, are expected. The deadline for the RTC was scheduled for September. We are not late but it's likely that we are ready to go as soon as government make their move. The NHS app launches tomorrow.

Only thing I have to add neo is one word: ballistic. Oh go on then. A whole sentence. When we get MHRA approval this is going to go ballistic!
