I agree Davde. The discussion on false negatives and false positives shows how we can use antibody tests to help rationalise the frequency of antibody tests. And it referenced all 5 of ODX tests.
Whether individuals like Blair or not and whether the report has nicked some stuff is sort of beside the point (no disrespect for either perspective). It will be read widely and it will encourage more thoughtful assessment of opening up the economy and managing risk effectively? Which we need to get to or we are in an ever deteriorating situation.

I'm encouraged too by the report from the Blair Institute that was shared last night. Arguing that we can start extending the principles of mass testing before we have 1 million tests a day. Begin with ensuring regular testing for key workers routinely and use antibody tests to support an appraisal of prevalence and to help determine the extent to which antigen tests are needed for individuals. It argues that we can assume 3 months immunity once someone has been infected. I strongly suspect that this is where we are headed anyway.
Regarding trolls and those who metamophasise into them after selling I think it's a classic tricky thing. Like the Biden/Trump debate. If you engage with the nonsense to counter it with fact they get abusive which lowers the tone. If you don't engage you find little gangs of militia forming at your feet. Trials of investing hey. Safy we have talked about the Mologic antigen saliva test a lot. We have a few trolls who affect to misunderstand and/or confuse what we have. It's useful to read the investors presentation. It has everything in there.

Yes, quite. The industry is evolving. NCYT are in the old space. If we are going to learn to 'live with the virus ' we will do it carefully to ensure we protect people who are vulnerable. We will have mass testing. More and more scientists are acknowledging we won't have a vaccine available for everyone before the middle of next year. Now the possibility of the virus being with us for years is also being discussed- for example on the Marr show on Sunday- but I have noticed it more and more. Johnson's narrative is becoming increasingly committed to mass testing. It won't be in labs. A world of lockdowns is simply unsustainable. Point of care, cheap, accessible, fast home test kits. Antigen and antibody tests. The NCYT CEO's remarks today recognise that antibody tests are more than tools to measure prevalence. They will help us to distinguish active infections from past infections and help us to understand our own levels of immunity.

You know the old investment adage about being brave and buying low if you are confident in the fundamentals etc? I think this is the time to do that but that will mean reducing my average. So I am wrestling with myself today about that. Looking at the NCYT sp and thinking about the £250 million order for 300 PCRs and maybe another 700 related products for lab processing I am very impressed with them. But obvs it's for hospital patients. Not for mass testing.
But we do know that mass testing is on the immediate horizon and our contribution will be in that space. And in 4 days we will find out exactly where we are in that space. And so will all the hot money because the presentation is going large. So I am persuading myself to just get on with it and average up.. it's very counterintuitive for me. But the money is making 0.1% interest in the bank. Even NS&I are slashing their rates to the subzero temperatures. So I think today is going to be the day. Lol! If AVCT's is better than Mologic's then they will end up becoming the new, new generation test LOL.
If not, then AVCT hit the skids. If Mologic's is better then we're in the right place. If both tests are g8 then we go with the best offer or we produce for both depending on demand. It's win-win MB.
