Labour are likely to move the investment reduction across to a requirement to invest in green energy instead of encouraging reinvestment into oil and gas. But I think if they don't block licenses already issued the NSTA will issue next steps for the licence and then until the law is changed there will be a rush to start drilling asap. The current law stands until it's repealed. Unless they want to get sued by big oil which they don't.

Have just had their provisional license issued in the 33rd round confirmed today. Orca also have another 2 licences provionally awarded. I wonder if they will receive confirmations this week too? Difficult decision now whether to cut losses and sell or hold for the Shell deal and new licences already agreed before purdah.

Labour won't be doing a 34th round so these are the last available. They have already said they won't be rescinding licences. Think I will hold.

RNS by Friday telling us they've put in an appeal I hope. Better if they tell us a confident basis for the appeal.
