I do think that maybe ODX instead of tweeting to wish all it's investors a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year (trying to explain to us that we are going to have a massive bounce back very soon), could have spent some time having a word with their broker not to sell the rest of L&G's shares in one bloody day. Which it looks like they have done. 2. 5 million missing shares. I don't think it's PIs. Everyone on Twitter is completely bemused. None of the usual crowing about having sold loads which is normally associated with any sp fall. This is a great RNS. It confirms the FT story. As usual the broker acts with no regard for investors. I think they are actually keen to get rid of PIs. Hoping to achieve better buy in rates for their mates in the city. I still haven't sent the case study to the FCA that I was invited to months ago. Too busy researching and keeping up with the environment around my investments. But this share has got to be a contender for an FCA enquiry.

ODX have been given prefered supplier status for whoever produces the best test. Tech transfer takes weeks not months. Says ODX will make between £150-200million a year revenue from the DHSC deal but acknowledges this could be the bear case bearing in mind the prices of other lateral flow tests. So it could be much more. Still reserving a target price until details of the 'very significant opportunity ' are released.

Depends how long it takes the market makers to tip out L&G. They obviously have no intention of letting them spoil the rise after that. We opened at £1.15 which is the year's high. I guess we will hit that as soon as mms are done selling L&G. Absolute gift right now. £1.30 by next Friday. From 22nd when Johnson outlines the exit plan with ODX centre stage it will really start motoring on.

It definitely is the news I was looking for. Whoever makes the best test, ODX is supplying it. The best test will sell all over the world. So they will sell 100 million tests. The only uncertainty is about the price.
That's why there's hesitancy and mms have turned that to their advantage by selling the rest of L&G. Yes it is looking good. The government are 'loaning' ODX additional equipment to ensure they can produce 2 million tests a week. So umm..I don't think there's that much uncertainty about the size of the order is there? They may need to reserve capacity to meet existing commitments for CD4 and they say for ABC19 tests. Still a no brainer to invest at this price.

Yeah. Surescreen got £20 million from the £1 billion antigen lft contract. The FT said it would also include ODX and GAD. And Chris Molloy said we are working collaboratively to manufacture the best lfts. I am really looking forward to the RNS! Will not be at all surprised to see us manufacturing for Surescreen now. They designed an approved high spec lft but they don't have our manufacturing capacity. I am adding 2 and 2 together I know but wouldn't anyone?
1. FT say that the decision on this first big contract for lfts is Omega, Surescreen and GAD.
2. Chris Molloy retweeted Han****'s congratulations to Surescreen with his comments about collaboration between the diagnostics manufacturers and designers.
3. Dido Harding says we are waiting for the best tests.
4. ODX tweeting that we will get an RNS as soon as the contract is signed.

The South African variant is the likely cause of the delay in schools opening- linked to tests for sure. The worry is the faster transmission and at one point they thought it could evade antibodies but that concern has receeded. Such a nasty virus- it keeps challenging the developing knowledge base.

ODX have already had substantial and non- disclosed investment in the set up for the original RTC which is why our sales agreement for the RTC is set at a discounted pricing policy. Compare sales prices set out in the investors presentation. It has been reported in several papers that 'government invested' in the RTC. That will be why ODX prioritised covid tests and re-prioritised their original business plan away from food allergy and HIV tests at a loss. Unfortunately the relationship with government has required a lot of cloak and dagger which is less than ideal for investors regarding transparency but it does position us very well indeed in the face of the pandemic.

Not really a key concern for me Regulator. They are buying another 280 million lft tests before May. There's another £5.7 million in the budget which Dido Harding confirmed will be spent on all kinds of tests. They want the best tests though which she clarified later at the Health and social care committee. We could easily see a Mologic test for now and the Avacta test later with ODX manufacturing both. Plus Surescreen? Also a possibility. Mologic are also partnering with Avacta for their saliva test (with support from their 'manufacturing partners') and developing another lft that is hypersensitive for the future when demand reduces but will still be high. Smith says he thinks once we are more on top of the virus worldwide the demand will shift to lfts that are as sensitive as PCRs. It will be no bad thing if ODX starts signing up with Avacta. We are a manufacturer not a test designer. There's no advantage in thinking we are in competition with Avacta. For investors yes. In the real world, not at all.

I wouldn't throw the kitchen sink at Abingdon myself Covidopportunist. They are only on the radar for ABC19. It will be better for ODX in the short term once the market starts to understand that ODX has more strings to it's bow. I can see us manufacturing according to demand for whoever has the best tests actually in our role for the Rapid Antigen Test Consortium (see @Chris Molloy tweets). I expect we will hear more about that too in the week of 22nd. Wouldn't be surprised to see an Avacta/Mologic/Omega/BBI thing going forward late March. Worth having a listen to Alistair Smith's interview. He has confirmed Avacta are working with Mologic 'and some of their manufacturing partners '. He hasn't mentioned ODX but we are Mologic's manufacturing partner. He won't want to mention us before he has to because we are competitors in the covid industry from the point of view of interested investors. Anyway, much more to come a long way before then.

If we get the RNS before 22nd I think it's clear that we are on a strong upwards trajectory for a good while to come. I am pretty much convinced that ODX are going to be the manufacturer of choice for a number of different partners in line with the narrative about setting aside competition for collaboration to manage the pandemic and preference for UK diagnostics companies.

Oh. Killer question on lfts. Vallance explaining the difference between PCR and lfts. Key thing is that they will tell you if you are infectious rather than if you have it.

Anyone listening. Johnson says he's excited about 'saliva ' based lateral flow tests and he will be saying more about this after 22nd when they set out the roadmap. Vallance says he doesn't want to say too much about opening up until we get caseloads down but of course lfts will help us after that. Good stuff! All on track hey?
