Stock market ad -tech sector shorting in the U.S.
Bound to happen sooner or later, probably quite healthy.

With all the waiting lists, busy hospitals, in-sourcing and growth, TLY are only making low profit margin.
It's like rock being processed with only a tiny payload.
Are TLY looking for profit or are they more of a philanthropic company perhaps?
I would applaud that approach.

So TLY are not helping the NHS very much then.

Calling people names (sad bastard, a brainless moron, on drugs or needs certifying) is not big or clever.
Why can't you just respond politely ?
This is abuse plain and simple and is not permitted on forum boards.
Eddie has never reported your foul language.
However he is requesting that you moderate your language.
Otherwise we can't express a view if others such as yourself cannot hold a constructive dialogue.

Volatility swings worsened by algorithmic HFT can saddle investors with huge losses. Many investors routinely place stop-loss orders on their stock holdings at levels that are 5% away from current trading prices. If the markets gap down for no apparent reason (or even for a very good reason), these stop-losses would be triggered.
To add insult to injury, if stocks subsequently rebound in short order, investors would have needlessly incurred trading losses and lost their holdings.

Ad tech stocks had seen huge gains in recent months on the back of investor sentiment.
Earnings may have disappointed the market expectations.
Then stops are triggered and automatic trading produces a domino effect.
Natural correction IMHO.
Tremor was not part of the U.S. scene originally therefore may or not be affected.
We'll have to wait and see how much we are now being affected by the U.S. markets.

Absolutely as long as TLY can make better profits than it is currently reporting.
Not much point in milling tonnes of rock for just a few shekels.

NHS waiting lists are unreliable, for example, many millions more may not have come forward through fear.

Heavily shorted stocks like Pub will always show high volatility - I would have thought the person making a song and dance about highs and lows should know this.

If you believe the figures.
(Our population is around 56 million).
That's not just damning of the waiting times, it's damning of the health of the country.

Nothing laboured here at all.
Good cash in the bank, many shares in treasury and enviable bottom-line profits.
Look at the overall increase in the sp over the last 12 months.
There's a reason for this:
Good management and plenty of fresh opportunities ahead.

Some things in life are bad

Other things just make you swear and curse
