@Marcus - the last time we joined the FTSE 250 I was convinced it would have an impact on the SP as tracker funds were forced to buy in - and to be honest - it had zero impact ... In fact the share price began falling and only started to recover when we dropped out of the FTSE 250 again ....

Maybe this time it will be different .... Maybe not!

@Marcus - it's not going to slow for a while now - I have been calling £3 in October and £4.50 by year end ...

Well we got £3 in October and it would not surprise me to see £4.50 in October and possibly near to £6 by year end.

Canaccord predicting £9 target must send these to £4.50 in relative short order now!

@aim is still stood on Platform 1 waiting for the 2.25 train to nowhere! 😜

@Trisor - it's just like Richard Staverly said recently - Capita are an unloved stock in the city and too many people have lost too much money in CPI in the past believing the turn around had happened.

Now Canaccord have come along and said what we've all known for ages - this is really undervalued based on where we are in the turn around cycle.

As the Master Investor Simon Caulkfield (I think that's his name) has always said - there will be a time when Capita will rise and it will then keep rising ... Maybe we are at that point now ....

Ha and we have got lots of good news to hopefully be delivered in October too

Always a fun share to watch (especially when you are winning and less so when you are losing) - one thing I've learned about Capita (over the many years I've held here) is that "when she moves in either direction" she usually moves in that same direction for a few days ....

So with a quick rise to £3.10 here today - I would expect this rise to rub throughout the week (based on previous price movements) and that must give us a short term price target of between £4 - £4.50 by the end of the week.

I know that sounds very bullish but that estimate is based on how quickly up (and down) this has moved in the past.

So anyone looking to sell into this spike might be wise to wait until at least Wednesday and possibly the weekend to see where we are then .... Just saying .... Based on holding and watching everyday for over 5 years .... 1800 days!

@daltry - I'm definitely smiling at the moment - but I've smiled before only to have the smile (and the profit) wiped away as we plummet back from whence we came!

Your CDL tip was brilliant but a bit risky for me as I don't think I could take the wild swings up and down - but good call regardless and I hope you make lots of money there.

Now we've breached £3 - I think we've got to be eyeing the £3.60ish top (achieved in July) next - would like to seem some continued momentum here now....

And there is a good chance they will announce the closure of the life and pension business this week too!

@daltry - hope you are still holding strong now that we are back over £3 again?

I'm hoping we get the RNS about the closed life and pension business this week too - could really cause this to rally then!

@Culley - and another wait of 2 or 3 years here is my worry as the can keeps getting kicked further away.

At some point SOON this has got to start to rerate as it's still currently priced to "go bust" and it is patently obvious that is not going to happen (although perhaps it was less obvious a couple of years ago at the end of the JL years).

So a steady rise to £3 or £4 or £5 is what I'm looking for - over the next 6 / 12 months - that acknowledges we are no longer in the "last chance saloon" - followed by a steeper rise as we demonstrate clear profit and dividends over the following 12 months.

Basically I'm agreeing with your 5 bagger forecast - but I'm looking for "a bagger or two" in acknowledgement of our turnaround progress much sooner than a couple of years ahead!

@Daltry - I think Tata Consultancy Services have been in a transition phase (since autumn 2023) taking over the running of the Teachers Pension Scheme from Capita. I think the transition is due to be completed imminently.

I didn't listen to the broadcast - but it could be that (like the Labour government took pleasure in trashing the Conservatives record once they took office) - TCS are bad mouthing Capita as the transition completes.

Of course, Capita lost the contract (which they had held from the mid 90s I think) to TCS in 2023 so it's pretty clear (from the Teachers perspective) that they weren't happy with Capita (for whatever reason) and hence why they decided to transition to a new provider.

Either way - it seems like old news in that we lost the contract 2 years ago and the transition is almost complete now.

@shorty - I doubt they those large sells belong to UBS as we didn't see any large buys go through as they accumulated their stake - I would have assumed they would trade off book.

Regardless - as you say - CPI at this level are still in bargain basement territory it's just that we have been so used to the SP being so low .... we forget that these have readily traded at much much higher levels in the very recent past.

@aim - I think you need to accept that even if UBS did sell out (I don't think they will btw) - you are not going to see £2.25 as this has got far too much momentum now and news is imminent.

You had your opportunity to get in - sub £2.60 - last week and you didn't add so I fear you are going to be stood on the station platform as the train pulls through £3 and beyond.

Ha - you would think (and say) the same if you were long here - but as you are neither long nor short - you live in £2.25 hope

As some have previously said - one day Capita will go up and it will keep going up and going up .... and I think that day is approaching or is even upon us 😆

@MrBrian - well it looks like UBS have traded a few shares which also explains the dip below £2.60 a few days ago...

I wouldn't go so far as to say "Aim was right" in that they are still holding 5.9% of the company which is pretty sizable by any measure ...

I still think UBS bought as a longer term investment rather than a shorter term trade .... I guess we will get a flurry of sell RNSs if they have only bought in for a quick buck or two and we will probably languish a little longer around the £2.50 / £2.60 range too (until they stop selling)

.... never seen so many trades of 8 shares going through the market ..... someone must be accumulating ... but why in such small volumes?

Still it's having a positive impact on the SP so can't complain but would love to know what all these 8s means?

8 is a lucky number in China so maybe we've got a Chinese II buying in 😁

@aim - £2.57 was a good opportunity for you - maybe it will still be available tomorrow - but I can't see this going back to £2.25 anytime soon - not with the amount of news stacking up for October!

Looks like everyone is getting out of the car again and with £2.30 broken - might we see £2.24.or even less again?

This share should come with a gambling warning - when the fun stops then STOP - never seen anything outside of AIM move so quickly in either direction!

@culley - I've been accumulating here since COVID times (first purchase at about 35p in May 2020) expecting an imminent recovery ... followed by 5 years of disappointment 😁.

Averaging down as well as crystallising losses along the way as I Bed and ISA allowances in both my name and my wife's name!

I'm left with about 84,000 shares inside ISAs at a 15p (old money average) and I've accumulated the remaining 18,500 in my trading account (ready for another Bed and ISA shuffle in April 2026)

I'm not a great (or lucky) stock market investor but I track this company very closely now and am impressed by the entire management team and Richard Staverly too.

Yes - it's a big investment and some would say brave (or foolish) - but fortune favours the brave and also I like investing in things (and people) I understand.

Ha - I have even become friends with AH on LinkedIn and we have exchanged messages (I can't say I've ever exchanged messages with any other CEOs of large companies).

The strategy here is the right strategy and if I'm wrong then I lose money .... ha but I'm not very often wrong ... although it's taken me 5 years (and still counting) to wait to be right ...

I'm still adding as I can't believe these are still under 18p - that's just ridiculously cheap based on what we already know and what we expect soon.

Someone asked me (a couple of weeks ago) why I had added more shares at £2.58 and I replied that they will look cheap by the end of the month - and it looks like I was right on that riposte 😁

@bluedakota - first target has got to be £3 and I am expecting that during October.

Second target would be £4.50 - that's possible by year end as long as we get some of the news on @culleys & my wishlist.

December update will be critical as it's expected that FCF will be announced (and that should push the share towards £4) - however if we don't get FCF the there is a risk of returning to the £2s again.

Then we have the March 2026 full year update - which if positive - could push us over £5 or even more .

It's getting to the end game here - either the management deliver on everything they have promised (at which point the share will surge) or they kick the can down the road again and we plummet.

However with UBS recently buying a 6% stake here and Richard Staverly DOUBLING his investment over the summer - I think the market expects positive momentum now

@culley - I would add to the list:

1. Confirmation from Ofgem that the audit of the smart meter business is complete and "nothing to see here".

2. A new contract won.

3. II adding or increasing their stake here.

4. Broker upgrades ...

Everything looks positive here now and I've just topped up again and am now holding 102,500 shares - that is 1.5375 million old money!

I would assume this will consolidate in the mid £2.60s / early £2.70s now before staging an attack on £2.75.

With numerous amounts of news possibly imminent - I am targeting £3 by Halloween - if not before!

@aim - with news due on multiple fronts and the fact this share did pretty well during October last year and the fact we appear to be in an uptrend - I don't see a massive pullback.

Perhaps a consolidation around the late £2.60s / early £2.70s before staging an attack on £2.75 with a new target of £3 by Halloween.

Can't see it getting back to £2.30 so that you can re-enter - but I've said that loads of times before, it's dropped like a stone and then you've re-entered 😁
