Just for transparency I’ve sold out of these now. Given the news of WPCT I can see an opportunity to get back in lower. Woody may have had opportunities to do otc deals in the past I don’t know but I do know he’s sold on the open market before so will probably do the same. Just recent examples to test your metal, (Gold of course) but see the parallels. Sp overshoot is where trek is now. Gotta call this right. Looking at scotia explorations on due dil and note they now have 13m, (300% increase) in bank probably from EIS and hnw deposits. If these are RTO target they will need to raise a lot of cash to get their explorations underway an RTO and equity route may make more sense than IPO especially if you have the contacts these guys seem to have. Personally I think their portfolio is too ambitious. It needs to be prioritised, and I expect that is part of the plan. I am just glad it’s not another scotia registered at 50 Lothian Road. Hi VJ,

An alternative to trader or holder is a hybrid investor which I tend to be. Not for all stocks as I just hold some and seldom trade. For example I built a decent position on TCG at sub 11 and sub 12p. I recently sold most of them at 17.99p making 50% profit in just a few weeks but I’m now happy to let my core ride.

For PDL I have bought one tranche so far. I will add immediately if we see 19p and 17p only because I see the recovery potential. If not I may add higher ahead of tender and sell on the RNS but keep my core holding. Buying on the up or averaging up is nice as we all like to see blue. e.g HUR I have not sold any just added when news suits me.

Sometimes I get it wrong and have managed to sell and start again. E.g SAVP I had an average of 29p and a significant holding. I sold a lot at 25p and 20p and bought back at 18p. My view is 18p is oversold. So I took the hit and then used the money to reduce my average. They are now 20p again. I only need 25p ish to be back level and have more shares.

This method only works for me if I believe in the long term prospects of the company so the overall trajectory is up. It just helps with the average as things take time, years and it’s seldom a straight line.

If however, it not good. Don’t wait, bottom drawer, just bail or only use punt money that don’t matter either way.

No advice intended, just the way I have come to play it after over a decade of managing Mrs Trek’s and My investments and I didn’t start out like that. originally I just bought and held and often hoped but now I have been able to make money on some leave the core and also open up new investments like PDL. I find being a little more flexible works for me. My objective here is to build a buy and forget position from re-investing profits. Trek.

So basically they have 6 months to complete an RTO (not strictly true but you know that) , which they say they have many potential targets from various genres or else they will need to convert to an investment co and raise £6m. I know there are lots of ifs and buts I held Blu that were suspended for an RTO but they couldn’t get the financial backing at that time which could be another risk here. So basically we are buying stock based on an idea, that may or may not happen and if it fails the dilution could be massive, more than the current MCAP. The motivation for buying is AG a very accomplished person and significant holder. Obvious question is, and I also need to find out if the 6 months constitutes a close period for directors but at what point is it deemed insider trading? Surely the motivator here is punters backing AG as the brains. A similar situation recently manifest at MXO with a successful restructuring. I to like AGs track record and backing hnw individual investors can pay. I have done well at DCTA where Patrick Soon-Shiong bought 20% but before I take the plunge here there are still too many unknowns at this point and high risk, yes high reward as well. No one knows for sure but I suspect if no news it will open up and close down. Imo MM have worked a blinder here today. Good volume but not that many more indicative buys than sells but they have made on the churn and grabbed some from week hands or profit takers. Next move imo is take out the trailing stops so that's a bear raid. Fill the hoppers with shares until imminent news arrives then sell them back higher. The house usually wins overall coz they make money both ways and they can always buy time and hide behind a spread. With this volume most of the trades would have been auto but on setsqx the MM can have a lot more intervention. I reckon they kicked this rise off in anticipation of needing to gather stock. Trek. Just bought in. Know very little about diamonds, well up to last weekend that is. PDL came up on my filters as rising in falling market with high volumes. I should have bought at 18p but that’s easy to say. Anyways happy to see a changing of the guard with BR as near as gone and capex costs looked nailed into sp now. Took a top slice on TCG another bombed out sp and bought my first tranche here and some EZJ. Be interesting to see how the South African June tenders go given that we are entering the better half of the trading year. Keeping some powder dry just in case. Trek.
