For sure there is, was or rather should have been a need for mass sovereign testing. Soon there will be escape variants that will eventually dodge the vax. It’s all going to be a complete mess!
Leaving it to peoples common sense is completely open to interpretation. How does a shop assistant that wishes to wear a mask, gel hands and keep social distancing deal with a queue of customers that have a completely different view. Want to hug, exchange cash, try on clothes, cough!
The minimum standard answer has always been the mantra of test, test, test and isolate using rapid tests frequently, it looks like that view is being diluted.
If the govt are using tests that likely don’t even pick up on variants, are only for professional use and have been proven to be at best 50% accurate in community what is the point.
Whilst the opportunity here is far from over likewise imo the size of the prize isn’t the same as when I first bought.
For sure some of Al’s comms hasn’t helped but he hasn’t had much luck either.
The chances are Europe and the US will follow a similar path as the UK once their vax coverage is sufficient.
AVCT need a big sales RNS soon. 5m sales and the promise of more to come will for sure help with our valuation. The longer news takes the more the SP will drift. If the news doesn’t match the markets view of potential we could easily return to the placing price. For sure it will move back up if/when substantial sales news arrives but atm Mr market is loosing his patience.
I have been reducing as the SP has fallen from 252. Just gotta protect capital at all costs. There are plenty of other opportunities esp with the POO now and I have fortunately had a good run here.
Always gonna keep a ‘small’ position in Avacta to build again from and of course just in case I have it all wrong but recently I have taken off my ‘rose tinted’ and am listening to the market even though I don’t like what I hear!
